WIW: Crazy Tee + Crazy Crops = Crazy Fun

I'm off work next week and it's casual Friday, so decided today was the day to have fun with my outfit. I started with the cropped pants that Wonder Woman re-vamped for me (shortening and tapering the legs) and then paired my crazy navy t-shirt with the giant flower on it. For footwear, I'm wearing my oh-so-comfy Sketcher sandals, and I'm using my camel handbag and wearing my white watch for accessories.

This outfit will certainly not be to everyone's taste but I feel happy in it. What do you think? Too "out there"? How are the proportions and colours? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Slouchy & Breezy

Hot again today (and so far, incredibly windy) so loose, cool and comfy is the uniform of the day. I started today with my taupe slouchy trousers, then added my hi-lo sleeveless purple/brown/cream animal print-ish silk blouse. My trusty Boutique 9 peep toe oxfords are my footwear and I've added my gold mesh cuff, mesh Tiger's Eye ring and dark brown raffia tote for accessories.

What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: A day of dots

Good morning my lovely YLFers! Looks like another warm day here - so glad our summer has finally arrived.

Today I'm pairing my black clams (a wardrobe staple for me in summer) with my cream and navy polka dot Mother's Day blouse. I was originally going to wear nude footwear but decided in the end to wear my Fly London sandals to carry on with dots (I kind of think of the cut outs in the front of the sandal as "skin polka dots"). I've added my green handbag for a pop of colour and a navy blue bracelet for jewelry.

What do you think? Proportions and colours ok? Would I have been better to go with nude footwear? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blouse: Winner's

WIW: Wrap Dress - again

I've kind of fallen in love all over again with this abstract print wrap dress. It's so comfortable, hides any wobbly bits and is cool for a hot day. I've paired it with a simple black belt, kept my cream croc handbag from yesterday to pick up the white/cream in the dress and popped on a white lucite bangle and my trusty black Clark's sandals.

As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Polka Dots Galore

Gonna be another hot day today (whoo hoo!) so today's outfit started with a skirt. I've paired my charcoal grey pencil skirt with my red/white polka dot silk vintage jacket and then added even more polka dots with my red/white pumps. I'm wearing my vintage cream croc handbag with bamboo handle and my Gucci watch for jewelry. And of course, a swipe of my favourite red lipstick!

I feel happy in this outfit but what do you think? How are the proportions and the combination to your eye? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Orange, white and a little animal

It's finally stopped raining! So for today's Casual Friday at work, I wanted to wear something ultra summery and bright - I started with my white clams and added my bright orange/coral linen shirt. It doesn't get much easier than that, does it? For accessories I've added my white watch for another bit of brightness and then grounded it all with my animal print handbag and my bronze metallic Naot sandals (which I've had for about 3 years now).

What do you think? Does this outfit work in terms of colours and proportions? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Bonus pic of Dusty Bottom in his favourite corner of the couch - he was getting a bit jealous of Gain's attention...

WIW: The other J Jill shirt

Today I'm wearing my blue J Jill shirt (already worn the purple one) and have paired it with my black clams and neutral peep toe oxfords. I'm completely enamoured with my new yellow/cobalt clutch so am using it again today. For jewelry, I've paired my turquoise/gold cuff with my gold oversized watch.

This is a pretty simple outfit but I still feel very put together. However, I'm wondering if the black clams are too dark here? Maybe I should have gone with my white ones? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: The Blues

I'm wearing a total of 4 different shades of blue today! I started off with my navy eyelet Anne Klein dress (I think my favourite of all my dresses), popped over top with my faded denim jacket, added my cobalt KS pumps and a touch of turquoise in my cuff. I'm also debuting my new leather yellow faux snakeskin with cobalt blue zipper clutch - LOVE IT!

So can you wear too many blues? How are the proportions in this outfit? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Dress: Anne Klein (consignment)
Jacket: thrifted (no label)
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag: Trouve (Nordstrom)
Cuff: thrifted

Note that Gain is much more interested in the box that the clutch came in than the clutch itself...

WIW: Cacophony of Colour

My love of colour and pattern this season knows no bounds! Today is the debut of my wild slightly boho-esque cold shoulder top. I love the swirls and swipes of hot pink, orange, gold-yellow, camel, purple. I also really like the shape of this top - it's quite loose in the chest area, has a keyhole neckline, cut out upper arms, dolman sleeves and than has a bit of ruching on each side at the hip area bringing in all that volume. I've paired it with crisp white jeans so that the colours really shine. I've added my camel leather handbag and my two-tone camel/cream oxford sandals for footwear, and have popped on my white watch for accessories.

Happiness scale in this outfit: 11!

What do you think? Too wild for me? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Today is the debut of my newly thrifted floral blazer - I can't believe how much I've fallen in love with florals this season! I've paired it with my black midi pencil skirt and a simple black tank. I'm wearing my Fly London sandals and a pink Hermes knock-off handbag to pull the lighter pink colour out of the jacket. No other jewelry today.

What do you think? Are you enjoying crazy florals this season like I am? How are the proportions? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
