WIW: Orange, white and a little animal

It's finally stopped raining! So for today's Casual Friday at work, I wanted to wear something ultra summery and bright - I started with my white clams and added my bright orange/coral linen shirt. It doesn't get much easier than that, does it? For accessories I've added my white watch for another bit of brightness and then grounded it all with my animal print handbag and my bronze metallic Naot sandals (which I've had for about 3 years now).

What do you think? Does this outfit work in terms of colours and proportions? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Bonus pic of Dusty Bottom in his favourite corner of the couch - he was getting a bit jealous of Gain's attention...

Linen shirt: Talbots (thrifted)
Clams: Reitman's
Sandals: Naot
Handbag: Bueno (thrifted)
Watch: thrifted

How could I resist with that title? And Gain has a buddy? Too fab. I think I know how Dusty got his name....

Your outfit is perfect for a hot day. LOVE the bag with the orange shirt.

Looks great! I like the colors on you. And Dusty looks very comfortable on the couch.

love it! i read somewhere that just about all shades of brown work with orange because they are actually the same "color" just the brown has more black in it. I have found this to be quite true and this out fit is no exception. love the pop of the animal pattern on the bag too.

Very nice! Could this be a FFBO formula for the warmer weather?

This is a great casual look! Do you wear bracelets? Something about this made me think it would be fun with a bracelet or three. But I've been known to play for team ALGO :-)

Perfectly lovely, polished and breezy outfit! You look beautiful in that orange and I am jealous of how well your clams fit. I am still looking for some *stomps foot*. Dusty Bottom is one cool kitty!

HI Dusty !! I love the scale of the black and white "print" on you . Divine !

Now YOU Shannon look fantastic. Again, a "simple" outfit. But the fit of everything and the wonderful accessories make it a " POW" outfit it. I am LOVIN" it .

Thank you so much for your lovely comments - this has turned out to be the perfect outfit for today - comfortable and cool!

Dusty Bottom's name comes from the fact that he was found by the rescue organization we got him from in a cardboard box in a ditch. Unfortunately he had been very badly beaten and was covered in dust. When they lifted him out of the box, he had a dusty bottom and a name was born. After he recovered and we adopted him, it took him 3-4 weeks before he would even let just touch him. He and Gain were "roomates" at the rescue and are very good friends - we just couldn't separate them.

BTW - I'm unable to load YLF at all and the only way I've been able to respond is going through my look.fab blog. I'm not ignoring any one else's threads - I just can't get to you! Will do my best to catch up later.

Gain is sharing the spotlight! Fun!

Love the color combo, especially with the tan color of the leopard print. If it were me, I'd want the top a little longer, so the proportions would be further from 50/50. I happen to have a strong preference for asymmetry in this way, though.

Proportions and colors all work really well! And thank you for sharing your animal print. He looks like he's a skilled groomer!

Great outfit. You look great in orange.

    Shannon you are totally rocking the orange+white combo this season, I am loving it! The bronze is a fab metallic to pair with this combo, earthy but bright. Are those matching toesies I spy? :}

(Hi Dusty! I was thinking the name maybe came from the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou. I'm so glad you were rescued, you are adorable :D)
