WIW: Wrap Dress - again

I've kind of fallen in love all over again with this abstract print wrap dress. It's so comfortable, hides any wobbly bits and is cool for a hot day. I've paired it with a simple black belt, kept my cream croc handbag from yesterday to pick up the white/cream in the dress and popped on a white lucite bangle and my trusty black Clark's sandals.

As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Dress: Attitude by Jay Manuel
Belt: Calvin Klein

This is a fab dress, bag and sandals! I live in dresses this summer comparing to last year when rather in skirts and tops...is this contagious?:-)

This is such a FAB dress! You have such a strong and personal style and it is a great inspiration! And you seem to have a love for vintage which is totally mu cup of tea

I love this dress on you! It looks great with the sandals. The only thing that gave me a moment's pause was the purse with this outfit - maybe the gold with the other silver things is bothering me? I don't have any rules about that myself, I am just trying to figure out what is bothering me, so take it for what it's worth. It certainly does not mar a splendid outfit.

Such a great dress! You have the most amazing dress collection ever, I'm a bit envious. :) That vintage bag is adorable.

This is a fierce wrap dress. Sometimes wrapdresses can be too sweet but this one has an edgy quality that I really like.
And pairing it with the cream bag is delicious.

    Very nice!

Your two toned cream and camel aerosoles would look great with the dress. Add a brown belt when you wear it with those shoes and bag.

Oh thank you for the suggestion Angie! I'm always looking for new ways to style my dresses.

I shall never tire of this dress!!!

This is a great dress. I agree that the pattern and colour combo take it out of the sweet category, which is really cool. It looks wonderful on you. I like the way you've added structure with the stiffer belt and bag.

I love this dress on you! You wear dresses so well! Where did you get those black Clark sandals? They're really pretty too!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Natalie - I got these Clarks sandals about two years ago from a local store. They're very comfortable.

Very pretty! Isn't it great when you find a great look already living in your closet?

    Shannon,
The dress looks great with that cream bag! I really like the shape and print of that dress! I look forward to seeing you style it with the Aerosoles Angie mentioned.

Good to see you reusing and posting! and love those legs! Why do they look so long and lovely here? is it the shoes?

  • ManidipaM replied 11 years ago

Beautiful! Love that tulip-shaped overlap --- draws attention to your legs and feet very artfully. Does the print have a hint of on-trend blush pink, or am I seeing things?

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

I like it! The pattern reminds me of my new drop-waist dress, abstract but not overwhelmingly so.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Jayne - have no idea why my legs would look long??? Maybe my running routine is lengthening my legs (lol)!

Manidipa - you have got one great set of eyes! Yes, there is a few splashes of blush throughout the dress.

Love this dress! Nice to see it styled for summer, I really like the black accents (which are nicely balanced by the exposed skin). The cream purse is my favorite touch :)
