WIW: The other J Jill shirt

Today I'm wearing my blue J Jill shirt (already worn the purple one) and have paired it with my black clams and neutral peep toe oxfords. I'm completely enamoured with my new yellow/cobalt clutch so am using it again today. For jewelry, I've paired my turquoise/gold cuff with my gold oversized watch.

This is a pretty simple outfit but I still feel very put together. However, I'm wondering if the black clams are too dark here? Maybe I should have gone with my white ones? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Shirt: J Jill
Clams: Reitmans

I like the simplicity of this:). The black clams don't read to dark for me but them I wearing black. The blue against the black is quite striking. I also like the blue trim/zipper on the clutch as it creates a subtle connection to the blouse. Very smart.

Shannon, I think blue and black is a classic combination. I also like how you have accessorized.

    Are you loving the shirts?

Like Dianthus said. Blue and black is classic. And again the accessories *does* the outfit

Thanks Deborah, Dianthus and Harmonica! Glad you like the blue and black together - I've decided I kind of like the "moodiness" it creates.

Dianthus - I am LOVING these shirts! Almost tempted to get another couple of colours....

I love blue and black together myself. It's a combo I do pretty often. I really like this outfit. The blue in the top looks great on you. It's a simple look, great for summer and I love how you've accessorized. I'm also in love with that clutch! You guys are going to turn me into a bag person eventually :P

I like it. the touch of blue in the bracelet is really nice.

Not too dark! Angie says we can wear black dresses in summer, right? What's a little clam? :)

Anyway, the nude, blue and yellow are plenty soft and bright, plus you are showing your shins and forearms and toes in a very summery way. I love the combo!

This is so pretty! I really love the gold and the blue, and how the zipper on the bag and the bracelet tie things together. Gorgeous.

You look fabulous! Black is never out of season or too dark, IMHO :). You look very summery, I think.

Looks great! The "nude" shoe really works well here, not just for lengthening but to keep things light enough looking for summer.

I'm loving this on you, Shannon! I agree with the others - a very chic summer outfit. I will have to check out those silk shirts at J Jill.
