WIW: Whimsy for Work

Today's outfit is comprised of nothing new - in fact a few of these pieces are a couple of years old. And yet I'm drawn to them again and enjoying wearing them. Note to self: don't purge favourites too quickly.

My outfit started with my burgundy skinnies which I've had for at least three years. I added a black leather belt and then added (with a semi tuck) my whimsical graphic fox tee. I seriously thought of purging this tee as I wasn't wearing it but it's the most expensive tee I've ever purchased and so guilt made me keep it. Now I'm so glad I did!

I topped the outfit with my black suit blazer which dresses up the tee and makes it appropriate for my office.

My black kitten heels, gold watch and wedding ring, black/white specs and citron clutch finish off the outfit.

Thoughts on this outfit? Does it work? Does it still look current? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blazer: Nygard
Tee: Olsen Europe
Skinnies: Attitude by Jay Manuel
Belt: Danier Leather
Clutch: Gap

YLF Shannon, simple yet very stylish.  Glad you didn't purge the tee as well... if it's a fit you like, I think there is always room for a graphic tee!

Very stylish. Once again simplicity at its best. Shannon is that blazer leather? It's not reading as such on my screen. Regardless, the cut is beautiful and it looks great. Those kitten heels have certainly been work horses.

Great look! Love the fun-ness of the graphic tee combined with the more "serious" blazer. Really like this outfit on you!

Oh good grief! Thanks for pointing out my error Deborah - no, this is not a leather blazer. Just a fabric blazer. That's what I get for typing/posting at 6:00 a.m.!

It definitely looks current IMO. Love this look on you. I agree with Elizabeth, there is always room for a graphic tee in one's wardrobe :)

I think it's most current, and most you in the best, most fabulous way! (Whoa I used "most" a lot.)

You have such a perfect balance and good eye for simple tailored outfits that scream current at the same time. You have great style!

love the graphic tee! But my favorite is the neon green clutch paired with the burgandy. It adds lots of interest and pop.

    Yay yay yay!

Shannon, this is such a great look! Chic, fun and polished, all at once. :) The neon clutch adds an element of spunk to the outfit.
