First, let's start with the weather - we are expecting more snow flurries, freezing rain and north winds. In other words, a cold and miserable day. Then at work, I will be doing a fair bit of unpacking of medical devices so need to be comfortable and able to move. Then later this afternoon, I will be taking DS to his Respirology appointment and will be parking nowhere near the clinic so will need to be able to walk some distance. This type of day demands comfort, all the way.
I started with a pair of simple black trousers that are somewhere between a straight leg and a wide leg. I've added my asymmetrical ruched tank and then topped that with my merino wool animal print and black cardigan. For footwear, I have on my most comfortable Clarks shooties (which are insulated for outdoor warmth) and added my vintage Ralph Lauren cognac leather handbag. A gold watch for jewelry and away I go.
Not exciting, but perfectly suited for the day. What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

I like it and also share that weather pain. We are back in the freezing zone here with flurries predicted. I really like the sweater with the black sleeves. And the purse is lovely with the black.

I love all the black! The animal print spices it up a bit too. It is so cold and a bit snowy here too. Gosh, I think we'll miss Spring this year! You look great Shannon.

One thing with this weather is saving me: We've had a good deal of sunshine and, even though it cold, it looks and feels like a Spring sun. Now, gotta run and dress for my own weird day!

This works so well I am trying to analyze it. Is it the perfect drape of the trousers, the watch and bag picking up the colors of the vest, the asymmetrical neckline? Whatever it is you have it!

The black looks so luxe in these pics and the shine on the shoe cap adds a dimension to the outfit. Then there is that flattering neckline and jacket. I love this. You remind me of Jamie Lee Curtis.

So we have some asymmetrical neckline lovers here I see. They can be tricky to work with at times but I do like that it's different and interesting. And just to note that the animal print topper is a cardigan and not a vest, although with the black sleeves it does look like a vest doesn't it?
I realize almost all black isn't everyone's cup of tea - no worries. Joy, I did try the outfit with my red SE booties but unfortunately that resulted in non PPL. These pants are petites that are bordering on too short for me - unheard of - lol!
