WIW: Silky Shorts Again

Have I mentioned I love these silky, slouchy shorts??? I could wear these every day - they are so comfy and cool.

I've paired my shorts with a newly thrifted black summer blazer. The blazer has ruched short sleeves and is a lovely weight for the warm weather. Underneath the blazer, I've got on my white/taupe/yellow/grey/black drapey tank. This tank has been an incredibly good purchase for me and I always enjoy wearing it.

I'm wearing my black sandals and accessories include my cream satchel handbag, white watch and silver wedding band. 

I like the way adding a blazer makes the shorts turn into a summer suit. I hadn't expected that when I bought the shorts.

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    Have I mentioned how much I love your silky shorts! I want a pair for summer:). This outfit is lovely. It's smart, elegant and modern. You look like you run the hospital.

    Oh, how fab! Love the look of a suit. You look great Shannon. Love the accessories and top adding a light summery feel to the darker backdrop.

    Based on this outfit, I think next summer I would like to invest in a proper shorts suit, if they are still "in" by then.

    Rae - can you imagine? Me? In Baby Phat?  Yep...no stone unturned.

    Anna - you would totally rock a short suit. I think one day I'd like to buy a "real" one. Are you still looking for one yourself?

    Joy - i must admit I do feel pretty lucky in how the jacket and shorts match as a suit despite being completely different brands bought at different times in a thrift store. Pure luck!

    Love it too!  I have black city shorts on my "want to find" list - so far, nothing, but perhaps by the time summer's over....
