WIW: Lightening up dark olive

I didn't have time to take/post my pics from home so snapped a quick phone pic in the office when I got in.

Today's outfit started with my trusty dark olive slim pants. Wanting to lighten up the look a bit, I paired the pants with my cream animal print soft tee. I haven't worn this top in a while - don't know why 'cause I really like it. I semi tucked the top and popped on my cognac belt. I then topped that with my cream leather jacket. To continue with the cream color, I then chose my python booties and large cream handbag. Red specs, red lips and taupe/silver wrap watch finish off the outfit.

Thoughts? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome :)

Love this combination on you. Your blush top instead of the animal print ( which I love for having the cream background) is another idea with olive.

Love it! Your style is so fab. Did you do something to your hair, or is it just the light? It looks almost pale lavender/silver in this photo. Looks great!

Really nice outfit, love the jacket with that animal print top - so glad to see you lightening up for spring!

Hee, I had the same thought as trekkie9rl about your hair.  It's looks very pale purple on my monitor.  I love the animal print tee - the scale of the print is a bit unusual.

A very pulled-together look!  And a chic outfit of neutrals.  The animal print is just the right touch to make the overall impression vibrant!

Of course this is fabulous. Really love it and one of these days I have to go trough all your white leather jacket outfit photos so I can start wearing mine.
Have you ever tried to wear the jacket with the crossover white top and the animal print skirt you have ? (sorry, just having fun playing in your wardrobe :) )

Every time you post a new WIW I shriek with joy! You have such such a defined, solid, beautiful, dramatic style! LOVE IT! And your red lipstick :) mwah!

Love this, the jacket is great on you and I particularly like it with the abstracted animal print top.

Do you have trouble keeping white leather from picking up colors from it's surroundings?

Wow - thanks all :) And clearly I need to walk around with a fluorescent light over my head for what it does for my hair - lol!

Joy - definitely need to try the blush blouse with these trousers. I haven't done that yet. Do you think it would look better on its own or with the blush moto over top?

trekkiegrl - I actually do have quite a bit of silver in my hair - I'm at the salt-n-pepper stage and I find different types of light pick up the silver.

Celia - you definitely need to start wearing "our" jacket. I cannot believe what a workhorse it is. And thank you for the outfit idea with the animal print skirt - will definitely give that a bash (as Angie would say).

Keturah - on my goodness....you're making me blush. Thank you so much for your lovely words :)

Rabbit - I actually have to be careful when wearing this leather jacket underneath my cranberry wool coat. The cranberry lining eventually makes the back of the leather jacket look slightly pinkish and then I need to get the leather jacket cleaned. So I don't wear those two items together very often.

Brilliant! You look amazing in that creamy jacket. I really like the little touch of cognac belt with this outfit.

Ahhhh the doppelganger for my cream danier jacket you encouraged me to get as well! Looks fantastic Shannon! I happened to pull mine out just last night so now I am mentally looking how I can make something similar.... fabulous!
