WIW: Halogen Tipped Sweater Blazer

Happy Friday everyone!

We have about an inch of snow on the ground this morning - a perfect day for a cozy sweater. I'm wearing my two-tone purple Halogen tipped sweater blazer (NAS) over a darker purple tank. I've paired this with my Reitman's dark wash jean. For footwear, I decided on my three-tone patent oxfords and am wearing my snakeskin handbag to bookend the tones in the shoes.

Does this work? How are the oxfords with this? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Halogen
Tank: Gap
Jeans: Reitman's
Oxfords: Jeffrey Campbell
Handbag: Elliot Lucca

Yes, this works! And it's fabulous! I love the combination of colors - I am wearing a similar set of colors today. Hope you have a lovely Friday! :)

OMG, there iseady snow there??? :-)
Good job, love everything! The magenta is perfect with the ink jeans,+ love the shoes and bag too.

i am still having 80 degree temperatures... I love the look and like that you did the purple shirt and not one to match your pant color. The shoes are really something special and a nice touch that compliments the bag nicely.

I love the shoes as a bright highlight to a rich coloured outfit. That sweater looks fantastic on you.

Snow - NO!!! I am not ready for that yet. We have a mild October here in Ontario, it was above 20C yesterday and I want it to stay this way as long as possible!
I think this outfit is as perfect as they come. Love the magenta color on you and also love how your two color blocked items - blazer and shoes - echo each other. And that bag always makes everything look good!

Love how the trim on the oxfords repeat on the jacket. Love the color and how you let the jacket take the spotlight. Great!

No soaky hems and you can walk with those shoes in the snow? I will be falling to my demise in a second! Ultimate prowess, you are my heroine. I assume you don't need to walk around. So fab!

I was thinking what Zap was thinking! Amazing.

But it seems your toe can handle closed shoes at least! That's good, given your weather!!

Sveta is right - it is still warm here. But not for long, they say.

Zap - definitely no walking outside in these shoes! It is now the season here for wearing outdoor boots and changing into your indoor footwear when you get to the office :(

Sveta - I can't believe it was +24 on Sunday and snow yesterday and this morning. So depressing how quick it changed. I hope you have a long and warm autumn!

Suz - yeah, open toed sandals were definitely out of the question!

Thanks for your comments sweet ladies!

Wow, snow already! Thankfully it's still warm here because I really don't like the cold (except for skiing). I like the bright jacket and love how the colors in your shoes and handbag match each other. Stay warm!

Yep, I'm actually planning to buy a short pair of wellies ( perhaps Hunters) for this purpose. Lots of my shoes go into orphanage, when it gets too snowy here, because I'm too lazy to change.

I love that sweater! And it looks perfect with your oxfords and fun bag! We had snow here this week, too (and it was 26 on Saturday!) :-(

  • Parsley replied 11 years ago

Yes, this works. You look great!
Yikes- I am so not ready for snow yet!

  • pil replied 11 years ago

I've been looking forward to another of your posts for inspiration with this sweater Shannon. I'll have to try copying Sona's copy with my sweater : )
And what's with the snow and no NHL hockey? That just isn't right.
