WIW: Slouchy & Stripes

Today is the debut of the Lord & Taylor black trousers that Wonder Woman altered to become slouchy trousers. I'm thrilled with the results! These trousers are slouchy in that the waist band actually sits on my hips thereby giving me a slight dropped crotch - then Wonder Woman lowered the hem on the legs and tapered them give them ample ankle scrunch.

I've paired the trousers with an asymmetrical front ruched tank tucked into the trousers and then belted with a simple black leather belt. For footwear, I'm wearing my Doc Marcie boots, which continues my column of black. On top, I've added my black & white striped blazer and for colour, my red quilted handbag and new burgundy red lipstick. For jewelry, I'm wearing my chrome bracelet watch.

What do you think? Proportions and styling work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

I was just thinking about you and wondering if all was well. Hadn't seen you on YLF for a day or two.

I wasn't completely sold on the pants in the previous pics but am now a believer. They look great and the scrunch is perfect. Love the hit of red in the mono black and white too.

These look great! And it's nice to see your striped jacket:). I like the silhouette a lot and I might try my jacket with slouchy pants. I' struggle a bit with the right jacket shape and length with a slouchy pant so this is very inspirational. Black, white and red perfection :)

I love how the trousers turned out! I also really like how the asymmetric neckline of the tank adds interest to the column of black.

Just fab Shannon! Simple copmfy and chic! I want so hard kind of slounchy pants-AS THEY LOOK SO COMFY but just cannot imagine my shorter lover half in them without towering heels. Chic and no nonsense! Ready for action. I like the interesting neckline peaking through from underneath the blazer.

Thank you ladies! And you know what the best part of these slouchy trousers is? They are just as comfy as pajama bottoms!

Still thinking about buying the same trousers in the cobalt blue they also come in and having Wonder Woman do the same thing - but am wondering if that's slouchy trouser overkill?
