WIW: For Iced Coffee & Thrifting

Hubby and I both have the week off from work but are not going out of town so we're just hanging out in our city this week and then doing some day trips to the beach, etc.

I have a favourite thrift shop in the trendy part of town that I don't get to often enough so hubby suggested we go out for iced coffee on a patio and then head to the thrift shop. Didn't have to ask me twice! Found some real treasures at the thrift shop which I'll post in a separate thread.

It's super hot and humid again today so white and light was the way to go. I paired my white BF shorts with a white sleeveless tee with blue gingham trim, faux tucked with my wide white leather belt. On my feet, are my grey leather oxfords with neon green soles. I forgot to take a pic with my handbag but I used LBB.

This week will be Casual Shannon but I'm still going to post my daily outfits if that's ok. I think I'm slowly getting a handle on my super casual summer wear but still would like feedback so I can continue to tweak where needed.

What do you think of this outfit for a casual afternoon? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Shorts: Revolution (thrifted)
Tee: Laura Petites (thrifted)
Belt: Danier Leather (thrifted)
Shoes: Rachel Roy

I love casual Shannon just as much as office Shannon, so yes please, more "week-off" outfits too :-)

This is a lovely and breezy outfit for super warm temps for sure. I love how the trim on the top adds a little extra, and how the top is a different texture than the shorts, subtle differences make the look. Belt, oxfords and LBB are fab too.

Can't wait to hear more about your new loot, and hope hubby and you continue to have fun!

Iced coffee and thrifting? Sounds like a dreamy way to spend an afternoon, that's for sure! I love your light and white casual attire. The detail at the neckline and the fun trendy oxfords are super cute! Can't wait to see what you found.

Your hubby sounds super nice! You look like an iced vanilla latte with your cool whites. I love that tank top - cute detailing.

You look great in that outfit. Perfect for the day you described. (I'm jealous that your husband suggested shopping. LOL)

Thrift shop in a trendy part of town, eh? *scratches head* Trendy as in Osborne or as in Tuxedo? :p

I hope you had a blast (looks like you found a nice haul) and you look so summery in whites!

YLF - sounds like a great day :)

Beth Ann - just to clarify, the Danier belt was thrifted by the Rachel Roy shoes were big ol' full price!

Cindy Lyon - thrifting is the only kind of shopping hubby can tolerate with me! He finds it fascinating for some reason to see me dig through racks to find something fab.

lyn - in the Exchange District. There's quite a few new shops in that area (and a couple new restaurants too). Love walking around there (daytime only of course..you know what I mean).

Glad y'all don't mind seeing the casual outfits too :)

Love casual Shannon! The shoes bookending  the dark trim on the shirt elevate this from good to fantastic.

Don't go to the Exchange at night! :) There's an interesting foodie place there - Mondragon - it was kind of gross food, but very hippie-vibe :)

    Hope you had fun!
