WIW: Column of white w/navy lace

It's a little chillier today so perfect weather for wearing full length white jeans. I started my outfit with my TR Brianna white jeans. I love the slightly relaxed but not overly baggy fit of these. I've added a simple white cotton tee (semi tucked) and then topped that with my navy lace jacket (with scrunched sleeves). I went with my bone/silver shoe sandals for footwear, a simple white leather belt and watermelon coloured handbag for accessories, and my silver Gucci watch/silver bangle/silver wedding band for jewelry (absolutely adore silver jewelry with white). Red specs finish it off.

I never EVER would have tried white jeans never mind a column of white, pre YLF. Everything I was taught indicated you don't wear white when you're not slim. Well you know what? "Pooey" on that I say!

So what do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    I love a column of any color-it's very calming:-) so esp.love one of  whites-for summer.This is a fab combo! Love the red bag, the shoes I'm in awe for quite a while, and that lace jacket...wow!!

    Hooray for Pooey!   All white dressing as brightness and a sense of calm -- like no other color.  Love the juxtaposition of a bomber in navy lace. 

    Pop of watermelon makes me hungry!

    Kerry - thanks so much for your sweet comment about drapey tops. Believe me, it took a while to figure out what works best for me in terms of fit and fabric.

    I was wondering if you still had that jacket! I'm glad it survived your style revolution, as it's fab on you. But you know I love it :).

    You look lovely and ready for summer in that crisp outfit. It hurts when I see that lace bomber because I also saw it on a sale rack at Macys and left it since I had just bought another lace bomber, but it is lined and too warm for summer. You were smart to grab yours.

    This is so perfect.  Makes me want to be brave enough to try a column of white.  I even have a blue lace jacket in my probation bin (I've never worn it, though I've owned it nearly a year - it's possibly too frilly for my style....)
