WIW: A Day of Knits

I realized after I got dressed this morning, that everything I'm wearing is a knit. And I feel sooooo cozy and comfy as a result!

I started today's outfit with the EF Dark Tulip skirt. This skirt borders on too short for my comfort level but paired with darker tights takes that discomfort out of the picture. I would not feel the same comfort with bare legs. I then chose a knit black tank and then topped that with the Dark Tulip asymmetrical cardigan. To keep the leg line from being chopped up, I chose my black Docs for footwear. My black leather handbag and red specs, gold watch and wedding band finish off the outfit.

Thoughts on this outfit? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Looks rich and cozy, Shannon! I don't think the skirt looks too short.

I love that color on you Shannon. I feel the same way about above the knee skirts and dresses - why do tights make us feel so much more comfortable?

I've been having issues with shorter skirts on myself lately as well.  I think yours looks great though.  I really like the proportions of the outfit and think the shorter skirt elongates the legs and is very flattering.  That color is fab on you too and the black seems to really put it at center stage where it belongs.

    Have a great day Shannon.

Gorgeous! And I don't find the skirt too short. I wonder would an opaque tight give you a little more coverage to make out feel more comfortable? Just a thought as I think this is fine:). The dark red is such a divine colour on you Shannon and you are the reason I purchased a dark red top recently:)

Weirdly, I don't have problems wearing shorter tube skirts. But I want tights for flared skirts! Just makes me feel more covered!

Fun outfit Shannon in your most flattering colors. And aren't those docs one of the best buys :)

    Beautiful color on you!

Such a cozy outfit and such a great colour on you. I think tights deal with the short skirt issue very well. Of course I would say that since I just bought a short dress to wear with tights! ;)

I know what you mean about skirt lengths now - funny how the tide changed so quickly !  I was going to suggest an opaque hose too, as Deborah did - or maybe it's just the flash in the picture making the hose seem sheer?  But again, you knock it out of the park with this EF red.  Love it!

It almost reads as a suit to me, Shannon --- a cozy suit with a strong, playful finish in the boots.  Brava!  And left, right, left, right left.....(I always start marching in my head when I see these Doc Martens -- love 'em)

Comfy cozy perfection on you, Shannon :) :)

    Love this on you Shannon.

I really like the 'suit' look of the similar colored cardigan and skirt.  Lovely!  And I don't mind the skirt length because the leg has some hose.

I love you in this colour, Shannon! Everybody but me looks good in EF... boo hoo.. lol.

I don't know why, but it just really hit me today that you wear DMs...

Simply gorgeous! ps, loving the longer hair :)

Look at your hair!  Great cheerful outfit.  Just realized this will be a good holiday look too. :)

I get the feeling about the skirt length, but FWIW I think the shorter length, paired with the straighness of the skirt, is really flattering on you.  I ADORE the addition of the lace up boots.

My only suggestion might be to get some thicker tights, if you like that look.  I think I'd prefer this with a completely opaque leg.  I have these very thick Commando ones (below) that I love.
