WIW2: To have wine with Dianthus

My first outfit pic today was in my running gear.Then early this evening I went to Dianthus' new home for wine and girl talk. What a lovely evening! I must say, Dianthus is a most gracious hostess and the pictures she has shared on the forum of her new home do not do it justice. What a gorgeous home, beautifully decorated with such well chosen and personal pieces. Thank you for a wonderful evening Dianthus - looking forward to the next time we get together :)

I wore my red slim Bermuda shorts and a grey drapey tank top (the tank photographed more blue-ish than it is). For footwear, I popped on my taupe peep toe booties in homage to Angie's Nordstrom roundup on peep toe booties today. For handbag, I carried my oversized clutch again - which I'm not entirely sure worked with this.

What do you think of the outfit? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    So nice Shannon and how gracious of Dianthus. That sounds like a nice evening. I have not met your new clutch, what is the fabrication? Most interesting and the size is so nice and large (that's what I'm holding out for). I love your fluid tank, shorts and peep toes. Effortlessly fab, dahling!

    You look great and I like the silhouettes of all your pieces.  The colors look odd on my moniter - the shirt looks more lavender than grey, so I'm going to assume, as you say, that the grey looks better in real life.  The clutch gives a nice pop of pattern to your outfit.

    Claire - the clutch is some type of faux leather but doesn't feel rubbery, if you know what I mean. It's very soft to the touch. I originally worried it was too big but I've totally changed my mind on that.

    This type of outfit (drapey top untucked over shorts) is pretty much a summer uniform for me.

    Nice outfit and I think the clutch works with it just fine. I'm with you on the loose tank thing. That's what I'm wearing as I type! LOL
