WIW: Winter White Leather

Pre YLF there's no way I would have chosen any white items for winter - YAY for moving forward! :)

Today's outfit started with my burgundy skinnies to which I added an animal print tank. In order to lighten the outfit and bring out the white that's dotted throughout the tank, I topped the outfit with my light cream/white leather jacket and chose my python booties to bookend. I then furthered my winter white choice and am carrying my large light cream handbag. When I head out the door, I'll be adding a white scarf and gloves and my citron puffer.

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Jacket & handbag: Danier Leather
Tank: Nygard
Skinnies: Attitude by Jay Manuel
Booties: Sam Edelman
Puffer: Esprit

P.S. Gain says "good morning" :)

Looks great - I really like those skinnies, and the white booties and jacket really look nice against the animal print of the top. Lots going on, but everything in balance.

Oh, really like this.  Surprise. :)  I especially like the look you've created with the puffer and all the white.

PS.  Love your puffy accessory :)

Love that jacket. I was just eyeing a white moto vest at zara :D. I have started loving white of late too. I never owned anything white because I thought they made me look darker and wider! Not sure where I got those ridiculous ideas from!

Brilliant color combo and love the citron puffer! And cute fur ball :)

Another good looking outfit with the burgundy skinnies, but the citron jacket steals the show. Good morning to Gain too. Is he thinking of Thanksgiving?

    Looks absolutely terrific!

Another great outfit! Love the winter white (and your puffer, too).

Good morning Gain, you look particularly lovely sitting beside mom's purse.
And Shannon, those skinnies are looking goood on you. Great outfit!

Ceit - this is indeed quite a bit going on, especially for me!

Neel - before YLF I was firmly convinced that white was too fussy for me and would make me look huge. More ridiculous ideas! Give it a try - you will love it.

Joy - Canadian Thanksgiving is long gone but Gain is always thinking about food!

donnat - Gain is firmly convinced that he goes with every outfit.

I'm really enjoying my new foray into the world of slim colored pants - who knew?! And I'm so glad I bought this citron puffer last year. Such a happy color for a long winter.

Eeeee!  The white scarf, gloves, bag, and Citron Puffer look so fun and unexpected together I just can't get over it.

White is magical year round. And your smile makes me smile each morning, you gorgeous creature. You look as divine as ever. The white scarf and gloves are fresh and fab against the neon puffer. xo

You really are on style-fire, my dear!  The white topper with the boots gives such beautiful life to the deep burgundy skinnies!  Brava!

BTW --- this isn't a maximal look to my eye, nor minimal.  I'm looking for a word to describe it though, since so many of my looks are also "in-between."  Moderato?  No, sounds too lukewarm and boring, although a musical word is nice.  Middlmal?  Sound like a Festival in the Shire.  Ah!  It's Goldilocks dressing!  Not too much, not too little, but just right!

Fabulous look, Shannon. I really like the down jacket over top of all this. But my favourite is that gorgeous white blazer -- SO worth the wait and PPP.

Beth Ann, that reminds me of a saying my daughter learned in school:

Not too big, not too small.
    Just the size of Montreal.

    :)

I think that is part of a Dennis Lee poem, isn't it? My daughter is enamoured of "Knock knock, who's that? Jacques Cartier in a tall silk hat / Knock, knock, who's there? Captain Cook in his underwear!"

Gorgeous! I love that white leather on you Shannon! You need to wear it all winter long. I can't believe that just a tank underneath will be enough for you, even if you wear the jacket indoors. My blood must have really thinned out living here, lol! I can't get enough of those burgundy skinnies and snakeskin booties either. I think this is the first time I've seen the citron puffer and that color looks really, really good on you. Fab winter outfit!

What a gorgeous fresh outfit! I adore the touch of animal print, but mostly I love the white and citron. Love it!

I absolutely adore this leather jacket on you - and what stylish footwear! I hope that work isn't too stressful for you these days; I heard it's kinda messy in that department right now.
