Thrifting Queen

WIW: Tube & Bomber

I decided that even though it is Denim Day at work, it is just too darned hot to wear jeans of any sort.

So today's outfit started with my striped version of the VC tube skirt. I do prefer the wider black/white stripe version seen on YLF but this is what was available to me here so I'm making lemonade...

I've paired the tube skirt with a bright Kelly green flowy tee and my cream/black quilted flats. I've popped my white and black bomber over top for the Arctic A/C in my office but will take the jacket off when I step outside into the heat and humidity. I chose my Kelly green handbag and a simple black/white watch for accessories. It always amazes me how this tee and handbag photograph a different colour of green and yet IRL they are EXACTLY the same.

So what do you think? does the tube skirt and bomber work together? How do you like the green with it? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    I love that bomber! No wonder I jumped on the Mural one - I think you inspired me without me realizing it. Gorgeous combination Shannon!

    Yes, I think this works well. I like the different scale of the b&w in the skirt and bomber, and the green is a great accent.

    It looks very sporty, but still dressy and chic at the same time. Which is perfect for a Friday, I think!

    So funny...I thought for a second that it WAS the Mural bomber! And I was all concerned that you would be far too warm in it. 

    I like this combo and I am happy to see your green bag again!

    The striped skirt looks really good on you.  I like it with the green top and the bomber is a thoughtful addition for the office A/C (I just keep a cardigan at my desk which doesn't always go with what I'm wearing).

    Ooh, lovely graphic effect. Big blocks of black and white over narrow stripes, and softened by the solid green. I envy your eye.
