WIW: Golden Snakeskin (and toe update)

I pounced on this golden coloured snakeskin print Vince Camuto blouse when it went on sale at Nordstrom...and I'm so glad I did! It came yesterday and I busted it out today to wear. I love the colour, the scale of the print and the gold buttons. I've paired this breezy blouse with my newly thrifted skinny black trousers. For footwear, I'm wearing my Fly London sandals and I'm using my black patent faux croc Danier Leather handbag. For outside, I'm topping it all with my fur vest.

I will not lie - I feel fantastic in this outfit! And yes Angie, I know I have to get the sleeves shortened but I couldn't wait to wear it - please don't scold me!

How does it look to your eye? Colours and proportions ok? as always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blouse: Vince Camuto
Trousers: Calvin Klein (thrifted)
Vest: Jeanne Bekker
Handbag: Danier Leather (thrifted)
Sandals: Fly London

Toe update: saw the doctor yesterday and it is indeed quite badly infected. She aspirated as much of the infected fluid out of the toe as she could, gave poor Miss Toe an injection of antibiotics and then put me on penicillin for two weeks. I'm also to soak it twice per day in warm salt water. If the infection does not clear up within a month, she's referring me to a surgeon to have the nail and nail bed removed.

    Shannon - what a shame about your toe!! Did she say you can wear regular shoes at all yet?

    Fortunately, all eyes will be on your gorgeous blouse!! It looks fantastic on you. I was tempted (but for the colour). On you, it is divine!!

    I love those black sandals! This is great outfit and a reminder that I need to wear my furry vest with more than just casual weekend outfits. I hope your toe starts feeling better soon!

    ouchy about the toe, hope that the penicillin works.

    The outfit is so awesome, I love the way your fur vest looks on you.I had been falling out of love with mine but you made me look at it with different eyes.

    I must have missed the post on your "THRIFTED" black skinny pants! You have all the luck Shannon. These are so perfect. I don't know how you do it. I have not been able to find anything but bootcut and wide leg trousers in my second hand stores (except for 30 year old pegged styles). You've inspired me to keep at it! You look fab today. :)

    You look too good to have an infected toe. Surely the bacteria should be intimidated by your fabness. The vest + blouse is fun and playful. Hope your toe heals fast.

    Your look fantastic and the gold blouse is a stunner! I feel for you and your poor toe. I had a bad infection in my big toe a couple years ago from a bad pedicure, ended up loosing the nail. I know first hand how this feels and how frustrating it is to "dress" a sick toe! Heal up fast!
