WIW: Friday Flares & My Animals

Yay for casual Friday!

I thrifted these slightly distressed flared jeans and I absolutely adore them. It doesn't hurt that hubby thinks they look "hot"!

I paired the jeans with a graphic tee in taupe, cream and hits of pink. On top of that I layered a cream cardigan that has horizontal stripes of regular sweater fabric and sheer sweater fabric. I like the effect and how what you're wearing underneath peeks through. Because I want to wear these flares with my highest but most comfortable heels, I had them hemmed for my various pairs of Docs so am wearing my animal print Doc Danielle's. I've added my snakeskin handbag for more pattern and cream/taupe tones and my gold oversized watch for jewelry.

Gain is my third animal print and his reddish/orange tones work perfectly with the shoes and handbag, don't you think?

I'm happy and comfy in this ensemble - what do you think? does it work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    Shannon, more TAUPE!! My goodness, you look lovely in that colour, too. But then, as I was saying yesterday, there is no colour you don't look fab in. I really like the T!
    And you're right - it's so pretty with that sweater.

    The jeans are fun and a nice change from skinnies...but this outfit would look good with the BF, too. Just sayin'....

    I really love this outfit and those jeans are great on you! I was one of the ones who liked you a lot in the boyfriend style, and I still do, but you look so much more at ease in these. Fab, fab, fab!

    This is soooo cute, hot mama! Love the texture and pattern play with the shoes and bag. Gain is very, very handsome.

    Suz - you know on the way to work I was thinking that I could have worn the tee and cardi with my BF jeans and the Boutique 9 taupe peep toes. I think I would have liked that! Next time.

    Shannon, what a great example of pattern mixing. I love it and I love those jeans on you. I remember the slouchy pants you originally purchased with that t and am thinking that adding the pants and the pink jacket and a few more pieces would create a color capsule with a range from the casual to professional.

    Very nice.

    Dianthus - you are definitely on to something with the capsule idea. The magenta blazer is actually at Wonder Woman's since I'm finally having the sleeves shortened. And now that the cool weather has arrived (other than tomorrow I hear) the slouchy trousers will be coming back out as well.

    Can y'all believe I kind of forgot I had this tee???

    Another great look! You look wonderful in this muted color scheme and the tee is such a nice graphic pattern, esp. with that sweater. Love it all.
