WIW: Crazy Crops & Chambray

It's casual Friday at work and slightly cooler than it has been, so decided to pull out my chambray button down shirt. I've paired it with my crazy cropped trousers and nude peep-toe oxfords. Then I added my oversized gold watch and vintage RL cognac handbag for accessories. I'm comfy, feel fun, and am ready for a busy day.

What do you think? does this work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Shirt: Old Navy
Cropped pants: Dockers (thrifted and altered)
Shoes: Boutique 9
Handbag: Ralph Lauren (thrifted)
Watch: thrifted

Love those crops, I am so glad you had WW look at them!

Looks nice and comfy for a Friday, but still put together.

SO glad you rescued these crops!!

As for the bag, I am having fits of jealousy. YIKES, that is amazing!!!

A mini-tutorial on how to wear a chambray blouse. Thanks. ;o)

FAB!!! I love this combo. You have such a cute, cheeky schoolboy vibe - especially with your gorgeous smile.

I have the same chambray shirt and haven't worn it yet, but you've inspired me to put it on now (going to wear it as a top-layer for extreme A/C). The shoes look perfect with the capris and are so flattering.

    And the bag.... speechless.

Ooh, very preppy, yet not PREPPY. Of course I love it. I love those pants more and more, too. Hm, I wonder if patterned white jeans would be easier for me to wear than my solid ones...

It's perfect! These crops are awesome with the chambray shirt. Love your bag and watch too.

Well who knew the crazy crops would get so much lovin'!?!

Zap & Ramya - you two are so sweet with your kind words!
JenA - bring out that chambray shirt girl!
Rae - I didn't think of that but it is kind of preppy isn't it? Cool

Thanks Ceit, Suz (so nice to have you back!), Shevia, Nancylee, JR, MaryK, Astrid and biscuitsmom!

I LOVE this clean, uncluttered, no-nonsense look. It's powerful!

I also really like white and light blue, so that helped :)

I'm really liking this relaxed vibe on you, Shannon!

So brocade is trending for fall, you're ahead of the curve wearing a summer brocade.

I absolutely adore those crops! What a cool pattern and it looks beautiful with the chambray and the footwear!

    Thumbs up from Alaska!

Your wonder-woman spiffed up vintage pants are one of the few exceptions to my now bitter dislike of crops which stems from my own futile experience with said pants length. (And maybe I need to get help.)

  • Mona replied 11 years ago

So simply chic, Shannon. This is going into my favourites.
