And the rating comes with 5 stars - just like our YLF Shannon is 5 stars!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

    Angie - you're so sweet :)

Wouldn't these look fab with that new Bailey 44 dress that I just ordered???

  • Astrid replied 11 years ago

Oh, these are nice! I've recently stumbled across a Rieker boot named 'Astrid', but I didn't like the style.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

    *nodding vigorously* @ Shannon.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Angie - you beautiful, sweet, lovely enabler you :)...I've put them on my wish list - if that dress fits and flatters, these boots are being ordered!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Stunning boots! Wonder if Suz has seen the grey? I could see her in these too/)

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Good question Deborah - I could see Suz in the grey as well.

  • merwoman replied 11 years ago

And what a boot it is! Gorgeous Shannon - they have your name written all over them! :-)

  • MsMary replied 11 years ago

    FAB!! Love all the colors!

  • Kristin L replied 11 years ago

I think that means the boots were made for you. ;)

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

They really do look perfect for you...

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

Gorgeous!! Deborah sweetly PM'd me about them. I am going to look into them. Hubs is going to the US in early September and I have a chance to do some ordering - will only have to pay for returns if things do not work...

  • Jem replied 11 years ago

How fun! Which color did you like Shannon?

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Suz - I'm so glad Deborah PM'd you (she beat me to it!). I really like the look of these boots - they are sleek, they have some nice detailing and there's a hint of ruggedness to them as well. I'm not usually one for the zipper up the back as I don't find them overly comfortable but the review sure is good.

Jem - I'm looking at the red colour. I've been toying with the idea of adding a coloured bootie to my fall/winter wardrobe and this could fit the bill. I already have black, taupe and my cobalt blue/purple ones - red would round things out nicely.

    How fun!!

These are just so Shannon and are perfect with your new Bailey 44. In fact, I looked at the shoes on the model on the Anthro site and thought you were going to go in that direction and either boot will look wonderful. How cool to have your own boot!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Well I confess Vicki - I have another couple waiting in the wings should the dress work out. What do you think of these other two options?

Great boot! I really like it and think it would look great on you, Shannon. I also like the darker of the two alternatives you posted - the Nine West boot. (but I can tell I'm darkening up as we approach fall. . .and it doesn't last forever. . . . come December, I'm ready for brights!)

  • Jem replied 11 years ago

I like the color of the nine west boot, but think I would like the Shannon boot better with a dress. Red boots will be really fun!

  • JulieJohn replied 11 years ago

You look great in wrap dresses, so it just follows naturally that a wrap boot is so YOU!

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

You have a good eye for boots, Shannon, and I like your namesake in color and style. I also like your two links above, but the reds are so different (one being a vivid red with the Reports and the other a burgundy red) that I need to go look at your Bailey thread again. I'm not sure what your budget is, but the Anthro page has a few that you may like.

Photo 2: The Inclined Chelsea Boots ($158. US) were the ones shown with your gorgeous dress:

Photo 3: The Red T-strap kitten heels, ($70. US) remind me of a pair of Angie's:

Just for fun, here's an entire page of red shoes from Anthropologie:

I'm going over to your other link now to see if I can offer a better opinion. ^_^

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Oh no Vicki - now I want ALL of them!!!

Those wingtip heels are amazing - such unique details and I love the mix of colours and textures.

Of course the Chelsea boots are fab - that's what got me thinking I need red boots to go with that dress (gosh...I sure hope the dress works out!).

Gotta go look at all the red shoes now - thanks Vicki! You're a gem!

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

Glad to help, my friend, but now you've got me wanting RED SHOES! I don't even own a Bailey dress!!! But, I do have that cute VC bandage top that was an "Angie" pick and it's red! ;)

I know you love boots and booties and I could totally see that working with your upcoming dress. I also love the oxfords, too. There's just some kind of "cool" about them. You truly can wear anything and I find inspiration from you. ^_^

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

    Vicki - you're such a sweetie pie!

Ok...here's my plan. I'll wait until the dress arrives and then make a decision based on the fit of it. At this point, I think it's between the Cobb Shannon boots from Nordstrom, and the Charina Wingtip heels and Inclined Chelsea boots from Anthro.

Thanks again for your keen eye and help!

  • replied 11 years ago

Shannon, it is so fun following along with you :) I am anxious to see how it fits on me too!

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

Good choices and that was my inclination, as well. There was both a bright and a muted red stripe in the dress. You look great in dresses + boots, which = Shannon's suit. There's something about those Oxfords and, of course, you can't go wrong with "your" boots. The one lone review about the Chelsea boot was on the fence. Now, I'll sit back and see what happens once your dress arrives. ;)

  • morethanbeige replied 11 years ago

    How fun is that, Shannon?!!
