WIW: Vince & Eileen

Dug out this floral Vince Camuto tube skirt from the closet this morning - it was too snug at the beginning of the spring/summer season but yay, it's fitting now. I love the blue and white floral mixture.

I then chose my EF oversized blue linen, short sleeved pullover. One of my favourite silhouettes is slim skirt with a voluminous top.

For footwear I went with my bone/silver sandal shoes and echoed that bone colour with my large leather handbag. Chrome/white bangle watch and black/white specs finish off the outfit.

And Dusty Bottom says "good morning" :)

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Skirt: Vince Camuto
Top: Eileen Fisher (eBay)
Shoes: Fugitive
Handbag: Danier Leather
Watch: thrifted

Oh, yes! Gorgeous. I love that silhouette on you too. What a scrummy shade of blue your top is and I love the light accessories. Lovely!

    Well, hello Dusty Bottom:-)

Shannon, these shades of blue are divine on you, and I am so chuffed that you've become such good friends with Eileen, because boy, her clothes are perfect on you. Love the high-low hemline of the top with the pencil skirt. Bag, shoes and your happy smile are the perfect accessories.

That blue is beautiful. It reminds me of wild cornflowers growing along the side of the road. So happy you are back in that skirt - don't you love that feeling?

  • Thistle replied 9 years ago

Simply gorgeous. I love the colors and the shapes. The voluminous top over the tube skirt is perfect. And Dusty is adorable!

Wow! What is Eileen's name for that color? Those V and EF pieces look like they were made for each other. Wonderful outfit. Dusty Bottom has a lovely tail.

Beautiful!! And I love the way Dusty Bottom coordinates with it all!!

Gorgeous!  Love this color combo, and thinking that when I work on my wardrobe simplification, it might be my main summer colors.

Inge - not only have Eileen and I made friends, I think she's become my BFF! Finding a designer whose clothes "get me" has been style altering.

Viva - it is indeed a great feeling :)

Joy - the color of the EF top is called "Periwinkle" and it's quite a different kind of blue. Hard to tell in the light of the photo but it's got kind of a purple under tone to it.

    Thanks all :)

Good morning to you...I like periwinkle a lot. Seems to compliment the silver in our hair. You are lovely.

I love this outfit on you--the blue is gorgeous and the floral skirt is so pretty. So glad it fits!

Gorgeous colors and a sleek, modern silhouette.  Wear this one again!

I'm finishing the second part of my challenge this morning.  Go over older outfits makes me see that I'm craving newer silhouettes and textures more and more.  I love the flow and shape of this outfit, Shannon.

    Good morning Dusty Bottom!

Never knew Eileen and Vince would play so nicely together! ;) Great outfit - silhouette is fantastic and the colors are beautiful on you. That handbag is gorgeous.

Vince & Eileen are a match made in heaven! Love this combo! The colours are perfection on you :)

    Good morning, DB and Shannon!

You look great in that combination (the color is gorgeous on you) of fitted skirt and volume on top. I too like wearing that and indeed wore it yesterday with a slouch sweater and fitted skirt. And yay on being able to wear that pretty skirt again!

  • Elizabeth P replied 9 years ago

One of my favourite silhouettes as well Shannon, and you completely rock it.  Esp in those BLUES!  I'm happy you are able to wear the skirt - it deserves some love :)

  • Debbie replied 9 years ago

    Love this combination !

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

The skirt is awesome. I love a floral on a black background. So renascence.

  • Debra replied 9 years ago

This is also my favorite silhouette :) it is so easy to wear but also very smart looking IMHO. You look fabulous and so does Dusty Bottom :)

  • Sara L. replied 9 years ago

Great look!  I love long, loose layers over tube skirts.  I'm still working on this combo myself.

Hi Shannon - a fellow Winnipegger here:) Lovely combination of colours on you - and I love the shoes - really different and artsy. Where is the Fugitive brand sold here in Winnipeg? (or is it?)

  • Kari replied 9 years ago

Oh, beautiful, Shannon! And hi, skirt twin! I was just looking at long blue layers I could wear over this top. I don't have a shirt like yours, but I have a cobalt blue faux-wrap long sleeved top that I'd like to try in cooler weather.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 9 years ago

Lisap - yay for another 'Pegger! The only store in Winnipeg that sells Fugitive by Francesco Rossi footwear is Canadian Footwear. The best selection is either at their main store on Adelaide downtown or their website.

Kari - how fab to hear from you! I've missed you :) I love being skirt twins with you.
