WIW: Soft Neutrals

Today's outfit started with my Cameron BF's to which I paired one of my favourite pullovers. This sweater is just the perfect weight IMHO and drapes beautifully. I've added an Angie faux-tuck to show a wee bit of the snakeskin belt. For footwear I chose my beige Tom suede booties and my handbag gives a double dose of snakeskin as per Angie's handbag-belt bookending trick. When I head out the door, I'll add my white leather jacket. Jewelry is my gold wedding band and rose gold/black watch.

I like the soft colour palette in this outfit - it's soothing at the end of a hectic and tiring week.

What do you think? Does it all work together? As always, all comment/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Nygard

Nice, Shannon. Calming, simple and a touch of chic. I think I will take inspiration here for today or this weekend, since I have most of the essential elements.

You are giving us a great example of belt- bag bookending. The white really makes the outfit shine.
I want to copy this outfit too, but it is still too warm for a jacket or even the sweater. Thank you for the inspiration!

Love this on you! I agree completely about that pullover. It's a great shape for you. And the snakeskin bag with the leather jacket is so fab. It all works beautifully with the jeans.

Wow-- I love how you've started combining more white into your look. It is just as striking with your hair and coloring as the black. The jacket really finishes this outfit.

Wow, Shannon.  I would definitely use Angie's "K" word to describe this one.

Adding white to my wardrobe has probably been the single most important "tweak" to my style over the past three months. I now can't imagine NOT having white items.

Thanks all - and Angie, what a lovely thing to say :)

    Pretty pretty!

Wearing white makes me nervous. I just know I'm going to spill motor oil or something on it..lol. I admire you ladies who can wear it with aplomb!

More love from me (as I sit here in my jammies) you do inspire me to get dressed.

What do I think? Is there anything you can't wear!!! Awesome look, you just know how to put it altogether.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Amy - do you walk around carrying motor oil very often? - lol!

    Thanks Tracina and Merwoman :)
