WIW: Gold & Animal

My wonky knee has been quite sore lately so needed to take a break from heels today and pulled out my black leather/animal print flat pointy toe oxfords. These shoes are waaaaaaaaay comfortable.

I paired the animal print shoes with my burgundy skinnies (I overexposed my pics a bit to try and show the burgundy colour since they tend to photograph black) and semi tucked my gold metallic fluid knit pullover, this time leaving the sleeves long. I added my snakeskin belt and decided "what the heck" and chose my snakeskin handbag too. No jewelry other than my gold wedding band.

These shoes are high contrast again the burgundy skinnies and I will admit to feeling very short and stumpy in this outfit. But I still think it all works together and is certainly very comfy.

What do think? Does it work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Love your outfit, Shannon. The burgundy jeans are so fab, and it looks like they are becoming a real wardrobe workhorse… so versatile! The gold/burgundy color combo is so pretty. I like how you've added fun animal patterns (two snakes and a cat) for interest. Your shoes are very cute. Sorry that your knee is acting up. Hope you feel better.

I think it works great, Shannon! The shoes seem to bookend. I like it a lot and congratulate you on the great buy of those jeans. I wish my "wild card" pants were as successful. I may be offering them up here on the exchange instead....

Coming from another girl who can feel stumpy I see no stump in these pics.  Short, yes.  But that's good right?!

My knee is soooooooo happy that I wore flats today - and I've had a couple of compliments from the new co-workers about my cool shoes :)

El Cee and Suz - believe me, no one is more surprised than I am on how these burgundy skinnies have turned into my winter workhorses. Me? In skinnies? Who knew!

Thanks for the lovely comments ladies - always appreciated when you pop by.
