WIW: Floral and Coral

Happy first week of September! It's still very much summer weather here so am wearing my favourite summer floral frock. I've paired it with my cropped coral jacket, chunky Fly London sandals for a bit of urban edge and my Danier Leather patent faux croc handbag. My chrome bangle watch is all for jewelry.

What do you think of this combination? Proportions ok? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

    You know this is one of my favorite of your dresses Shannon. It always makes me smile. the coral jacket is such a nice change, is it denim or cord (or neither). It's a great color for you.proportions are perfect and I agree keeping accessories to the minimum works best.

    I love those shoes and the rest of the outfit too. I am really liking the denim jackets to add a casual element to a dress. I wonder if we should seek out a darker color denim for winter .

    The jacket is great with the dress! I like how the black elements and sandals hint at fall but the bright colours still say summer.

    Love this, Shannon. I agree with Deb; this dress always makes me smile.

    I so wish I could wear Fly shoes/sandals. The fit is just not good on me. Sigh....

    Happy September! I love the way the coral jacket softens the darker colors. Perfect transitional outfit.

    Deborah - the jacket is a very fine cord.

    Dianthus - I'm wondering the same thing about a darker denim jacket. I would love to find one in a dark red.

    Ceit - I'm so glad you mentioned the black accessories hinting at fall 'cause that's exactly what I was going for.

    Suz - this is my first and only pair of Fly London. I'd be interested in knowing if it was just flukey first time luck or if they are all a good fit - I do love their funky shoes.

    This is one of my favorite dresses of yours too Shannon! Love the floral on the black ground. I like the black accessories as a nod towards fall, and I agree that a dark denim jacket is in order for you. I'm sure you will find it indispensable in your wardrobe. :)

    Very nice, Shannon! All proportions are great, and I think the balance of accessories -- details in shoes, big watch, glasses is perfect.

    Thanks ladies! I can't believe that when Angie first spoke of florals for spring/summer I said there was no way I would hop on that trend...
