WIW: B/W Stripes for another warm day

Yep - bare legs again - this time with my black and white striped VC tube skirt. Going up to +20 Celcius today, which is positively glorious for Winnipeg in mid October.

With the striped tube skirt, I have added my dark red tank and topped it all with my black suit blazer. For footwear, I went comfy and chose my Naot gun metal Mary-Jane pumps. Accessories include my red/animal print clutch for a bit more red and some pattern mixing, gold watch and wedding band, red specs and red lip.

Thoughts? Does it all work together? Do the shoes look too clunky with this? I tried it on with my pointy toe pumps and I think I'm going to have to stop wearing those - lately they have really been hurting my feet. My new black Chelsea boots looked good with the outfit but will be a bit too warm for today.

As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blazer: Nygard
Tank: Eileen Fisher
Skirt: Vince Camuto
Clutch: Material Girl
Shoes: Naot
Watch: thrifted

I love the red with the black and white! Taking notes for my own deep red top:). The shoes look good. Those shoes have a subtle retro vibe to my eye so they are a nice touch to a modern outfit.

I agree with Deborah, it works well. This is a great example of an outfit that could be taken in so many directions depending on the accessories. I love the idea of pairing this with Chelsea boots.

What a great combo!  I think the shoes work well with your outfit and the Chelsea boots will also look great.

Wow, that clutch is glorious! A show stopper itself. This is quite a classic color combo, but it is doen in quite a modern way(including stripes and animal). Shoes also great, YLF Shannon:-).

Great outfit Shannon!  Esp love the leopard with the stripes.  And I look forward to seeing it with the Chelsea boots in the future :)

#2 is so fably polished and Modern Classic.

You wear chunky shoes really well, and the colour bookends the black up top. No worries. Your red specs and 'do add a perfect dose of Urban.

Lovely outfit Shannon, especially liek it with the clutch.  The shoes look good and the booties would work as well.

Fabulous, Shannon -- this is your old formula updated! Looks perfect on you. I am your tube skirt-loving sister in crime, wearing a skirt today without hose, too!

Shannon, we are having "warm" weather too which is around 35F.  It's still chilly enough that I need leg coverage.  You look great!  And the longer you can put off the inevitable winter bundling, the less bored you will be later... :)

Not too chunky at all. I love how you've put this together. YLF!

Lovely! I think the shoes are super with this outfit. In the first photo, I couldn't figure out what was going on with them, but in the other photos, I can see the little tie detail as well as the toe shape. To my eye, they are just refined enough and add a dose of artiness to the outfit. Love the clutch with it, too.

Super fab! Love the clutch with this, too. Lucky you with all the warm weather. Sadly, the rains have returned to Portland!

It's warm here too - 79 F which is unheard of for October. It's nice but all this temp. bouncing makes my sinuses feel awful. But on to more important matters - your outfit! The striped skirt, red top and black blazer look wonderful, and the shoes look good too. I might just have to copy this! Thanks for the inspiration :)
