K/R True Religion Cameron Slim BFs

I adore the look of these jeans on Angie, Suz, Rae, Una and everyone else who has them. And I have been looking for "my" jeans for a while now. I have a few pair I like, but I don't truly have a pair I want to wear all.the.time.

I PM'd Angie and asked her what she thought of these jeans for a petite apple - I clearly don't have the slim build of the YLFers that sport these jeans. But Angie felt they were worth a try so I went on Amazon to order them. I am between sizes and so was going to order the smaller of those sizes based on discussion with Angie but when I went to order them, they were already sold out. So I decided to try one size smaller than that and here they are.

Let me start by saying the quality of these jeans is fabulous - the weight, the softness of the denim, the stitching, everything. I also haven't owned any button-fly jeans since my Levi's in high school. Unfortunately I was not able to get the 100% cotton version that Suz and Angie have - these do have 2% elastane, but I'm ok with that.

Now some of you may be questioning why I would invest in a pair of not-so-inexpensive premium jeans when I'm on a weight loss/fitness journey. But in talking with hubby before pulling the trigger, I decided I really want to feel good NOW in a pair of jeans and if in 5 months they are too big, so be it. Besides my body is under some stress right now due to my health issues and the weight loss has kind of stalled for now. Without a belt, I can slip the jeans right off my hips but won't mind them a little baggier should I lose some girth.

Please note these are not styled in any way and I simply ripped open the box, took off my cut off shorts after watering the garden and slipped these on. Also note I am not a member of Team Rear so not so worried about the butt view. Oh and what do DH and DS think of them??? DS - "those are great Mom" and DH - "like the view coming and going in those honey".

What do I think? I'll leave that for now and turn it over to you...

I already have too many jeans. I do not need these. Must look away. I already have too many jeans. Does that answer your question?

  • replied 10 years ago

Yes yes yes! I like these better than the Canyon River ones. These are great on you!

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

I really like them on you!

  • MNsara replied 10 years ago

Ooh, I like them on you!!  Are these the Sem Defiance?  I got some of those from amazon and LOVE them :-)

If unrolled, are they too long to wear that way, or too much scrunch?  If so, hem them to where they scrunch is ideal and you can still roll them to cute BF length.

I hope you still got a nice deal, because every so often amazon drops the price for a bit to get us to take the plunge!!

I like them on you. Have the feeling that I have seen you in something similar...

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

    Shevia - lol!

Ceit - me too! And they are more comfortable than the Canyon River jeans.

    Diana - thank you :)

MNsara - yes, these are the Defiance wash. They are definitely too long (they are currently rolled three times for these pics) so shortening would definitely be in order.

Celia - these are very similar to my Canyon River BF jeans but much better quality, way more comfortable and a better fit in the waist.

Shannon, I love these on you from the front. But I do have to say, that I'm not crazy about the rear view. Now, I'm NO jean fit expert, so happy to be overruled. But you asked, and they are too much money not to be perfect.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

    Love them.

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

    I like them.

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

Logged in, not reading any posts, to say I really like these on you.  I may have a slight bias toward this jean but I like them a lot more than some of your other BF struggles of the recent past :)

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Elizabeth - I do agree that the rear view is not the most flattering but it really doesn't bother me. And strangely enough my hubby actually likes the back side on these.

    Angie & Anna - thank you :)

Mo - I agree that these work better than many of my other BF attempts. My goodness...I've totally lost track of the varieties I've tried. I think it's the slim leg on these that really appeal to me.

Well as you've probably guessed by now, I love these jeans. I completely understand and respect that they will not appeal to everyone (particularly from behind) but I'm Team Front View all the way and I really like the way these look from the front. I almost feel tall in them - lol! Plus they are just incredibly comfortable.

How could you deny the men of the household? Your son has given you some very nice pieces and you husband likes the view - I think they are excellent barometers :)

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Yes, yes, yes!  I must NOT start looking at premium denim....

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Nothing can stand between a woman and THE pair of jeans she loves. Period!
Theere is so much love for TR Cameron jeans around here I feel really deprived this brand does not fit me :-(

  • replied 10 years ago

Shannon! Now you're making me want some too! I love these on you, really, really. They're just loose enough, and if you lose more weight down the road, they'll just be boyfriendlier. Win-win in my book. Love all views.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

I own them and love them, so you've got my support!

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

I think they are great & the behind looks good imo :)

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

I like these a lot.   The wash and the fit looks perfect.  Great jeans.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Traveling, so I am late to this discussion, but welcome to the Cameron Club! We will have to develop some kind of handshake for this. I think they're fab. Enjoy them!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Thank you so, so much for the Cameron support ladies. Just before bed last night, I played with them a bit with different footwear and tucking tops in, adding blazers, semi-tucking, different belts, etc. and I'm even more in love than I was when I first tried them on.

Will give them a wash tonight and then will take them to Wonder Woman for shortening. I also purged some less-loved jeans from my closet to make way for these. I'm really wanting to ensure that the only items in my closet are those that I truly WANT to wear.

Suz - the Cameron handshake - lol!

  • Elizabeth P replied 10 years ago

Well, how you look from the front is FAR more important, and they do look fab from the front.  Good for you trying them so many different ways, that must have helped a ton!

I love these jeans as well, so now you have them I may
have to  give them a try :)  (NO!!!)

First of all, I love the rear view....yes, that sounds creepy, but I think they look nice. I am soooooo not into skinny jeans so take my comment for what it's worth :)

I received these from Zappos yesterday. The size I received is too big. I would need to go down a size or two to make them work, but they are already too tight in my knees. I must have bigger knees than other parts because I am finally figuring out that most jeans don't work for me because when I walk they get hung up on my knees.

The jeans I tried were $131 from zappos:
