Grad Outfits x 2

Thank you to everyone who replied to my thread asking for help on deciding what dress to wear to my son's graduation dinner & dance http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....nner-dance. I've decided to go with the blue lace dress which I love and always feel great in. And yes Angie - I knew you'd pick that one :)

After the great shoe/sandal purge of 2013, I don't have a lot in the way of colored dressy sandals to wear so options I have to go with the blue lace are my Enzo Angiolini cut out black patent pointy toe pumps (see pic 1) or my Kate Spade cobalt patent pumps (see pic 2 - actually shown here with the lace dress). My other option is to check out my favorite upscale consignment store and see what they have for metallic strappy sandals, something I don't have. What is your choice?

Then I need to look at which clutch to carry - I could go with the cobalt and yellow clutch in pic 1, my white leather clutch, the one I bought last year and haven't even used yet (see pic 3) or also check at the consignment store for something sparkly. Which one? And I guess it depends on what I wear for shoes.

For jewelry, I will wear my diamond stud earrings, cocktail ring and a large cuff. I don't wear a necklace with this dress because it catches in the lace.

I've also attached pics of what I think I'll wear to the Convocation ceremony. If the A/C is freezing in the church, I can leave the jacket on and if it's warm, I can take the jacket off. I'll use the white leather clutch but am going to switch the shoes to my new silver/bone sandals. Do you think this is ok?

Thank you so much for your help ladies :)

I like the cobalt blue shoes for the lace dress. Am I dreaming or you had a red clutch? If not, I would prefer the white clutch over the patterned ones.

The convocation outfit looks delish. White clutch too.

( P.S. I am working on my frock for Lil' Zap's graduation ceremony outfit too )

and I am not sure if I have seen the silver/bone sandals but they sound just like the ticket!

Thanks Zap - I did have a red clutch but it got ruined at Kristen's wedding last year when a drunken lady stepped on it with her wicked stiletto heels and put a hold right though it! I do have a smaller red snakeskin leather clutch that could work though. Here's the silver/bone sandals...

I like either the black shoes or the cobalt and I think I am with Zap in preferring a plain clutch.

And the convocation outfit looks perfect!

Silver/bone with blue lace - why not?

Oh darn it! I think I remember now.
Love the shoes, they feel a little casual to me though. It might be the front stitching and the heel, but I do have a very off kilter taste in shoes in comparison to you guys. I would prefer the shoes you have in the photo, those are the boutique 9 ones, right?
    What do you think?

I like the blue suede shoes and the patterned clutch. I'm not much of a bag person so I could be completely off-base with the clutch. Your second outfits looks great and I wouldn't change a thing.

Ok - so the convocation outfit will stay just as shown. I think you're right Zap and I'm going to stick with the Boutique 9 shoes for this.

Una - as much as I love the bone/silver sandals, I think they are too casual for the lace dress and a formal event.

I'm going to still have a quick peek at my fave consignment store for metallic sandals and if nothing available, will go with my cobalt KS pumps.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    The blue shoes look great.
I think a silvery metallic clutch would look great, since the event is described as formal,  but I wouldn't buy something   just for the one event. Would do the pure white clutch + sparkly cuff + blue outfit and look summery.
