Gorgeous photo -- but I wonder how it looks when she takes her hand out of her pocket? Seems like volume on volume...
ClaraT replied 11 years ago
My first thought, April! Hand out = different than hand in and will change the look.
The red shoes look nice with that combo.

I agree April and Clara that with the hand out of the pocket the look would be different, but to me personally, it would still look great. She has the figure to pull off volume over volume IMO.

I love it too. Why not you ??? A thinner, long vest. Fab. You may not be "taller, thinnner, younger, " but you are fabulous. Tweak it, sista !
Deborah replied 11 years ago
Im with Isabel, some tweaking of the proprotions and you would rock this Shannon, and dare I say, add a little more 'personality' to the look:)

Not sure how this look has to do anything with age, height, or weight!!
I love her blog and think, A) this is a cute look, and B) you could rock something similar :).
Jaime replied 11 years ago
Agree that you could totally do something inspired by this and look just as fab.

Hmmm....this is interesting...I have no idea how I would even begin to tweak this to suit me. Any suggestions ladies???
rae replied 11 years ago
Yeah, it'd look way different without the hand.
BUT, I do think that you could rock a shorter, slightly more structured vest just fine. Maybe one with a curved/cutaway hem like the Gibson jacket?

Definitely requires heels, and this look is doable for any age and shape I think!

I would consider subsitituting a straight leg jean but size up so that you get the BF vibe but a slimmer silhouette.
Excuse my ignorance, but who is the blogger?

Whoops - sorry Deborah. I should have linked to her blog as well. It's The Style Sample http://thestylesample.com/
I started playing dress up when I was 4 years old and haven't stopped since! My income doesn't match my tastes so it's all about figuring out how to thrift my way to a fashionable life while tossing in a few delectable items.
