WIW: White & Teal

My love for white knows no bounds right now - I feel like wearing a bit of it every single day.

I'm not entirely sure this works. I'm wearing my sized up white skinnies rolled as BF's. These are getting quite big on me now and will no longer stay on without a belt. If I do the belt up one less notch I can "scootch" the jeans down my hips a bit and get a dropped crotch. These jeans also bag out and wrinkle significantly about half way through the day so I thought I could take advantage of that slightly messy look they get and make them BF's instead. Does it work?

I've paired the bottoms with a recently purchased linen-silk blend teal light weight sweater. It feels heavenly on and I thought it would be a good piece for the days that aren't to hot or the A/C in my office is trying to freeze me. It's already a bit slouchy in style so works great for a faux tuck.

This is the debut of my Dolce Vita bone laser cut oxfords. LOVE these shoes! I like how they are both feminine and masculine at the same time.

For jewelry, I'm wearing the birthday gift necklace from my hubby & son and my handbag is my light cream satchel.

So what do you think? Does this all work together? How are the proportions? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

I've also added a pic of my new spring/summer lipstick. I decided to go pink for the warm months (sorry about the frightening close up - lol!)

P.S. my bra does not show through IRL - darn flash!

Sweater: Peter Nygard
Jeans: Jessica Simpson

Super cute. Especially with the oxfords. They are clearly the center of the show here. Such a happy outfit!
Re: pants: They look the best in pic 1, I would not try to ear them lower. It is an excellent idea to have added a white belt, so your legs look longer, not your torso. It offsets whatever bagginess, which is purposely on trend.

I think this looks super cute also -- the oxfords look great with the BF style of the jeans. That shirt is lovely too, I really like the checkerboard pattern.

Wow! love it. Teal is one of my favourite colours and it looks so fresh with the whites. I LOVE those shoes!. Finally what a lovely pink lippy to set off the teal :)

Your white obsession is contagious. You look fresh and fab and the new oxfords are wonderful. I'm no expert on how boyfriends fit but think these look nicely slouchy. I'd rate this a 10.

Frightening close up haha!  As if....lipstick is a nice touch for summer.
    Those boyfriends slouch nicely.

Love it!  I'm with you on white - everything feels more summery with a little bit of white, doesn't it?

I love this! Are you joking? These jeans look like a fab BF fit now! And this colour combination is perfection for the time of year. Love the new shoes, too!

Wow, great outfit!  I love the cuffed jeans and oxfords.  The teal shirt is a nice contrast with the white.

Love it, Shannon. I wear sized up Kut white skinnies as my almost boyfriend jeans also, just because they fit so well, were not see-through and are comfortable.

Those oxfords make the outfit really pop.

You look great Shannon - the teal and white is wonderful together and the shoes are really a nice choice for spring/summer. I like a slightly pink lip too - it's fresh and fun.

Love this, Shannon. The white jeans are fab and I love the bright sweater on top. That color really suits you. White does seem to make everything look fresher these days. I've been wearing my white belt almost everyday!

Teal is a gorgeous color and love the pairing with your "new" white BF's. Beautiful new lip color, too. No wonder you love white, it loves you back!

Great Spring/Summer combo.  The oxfords give it a little something special and I think the white pants are working really well here.  I think your watch could come out to play with this outfit, too!

Crash helmet has been stolen :(

So these are now my white BF jeans and I will most likely wear them this way from now on. I have a pair of white jeans (Canyon River) that are supposed to arrive today or tomorrow that, if they fit, will be my more fitted, crisp full length white jean.

Beth Ann - I know! I got to work and realized I had forgot to put on my white watch.....arrrrggghhhh...

Angie - who on earth would steal your crash helmut? How rude!

The white jeans looks fantastic as BF's. Teal is one of my fav colors, and it looks gorgeous on you!

Fabulous!  Someone has to wear white, since I seem unable to do so.

I love teal & white - so fresh - YLF.

I think you have completely nailed the proportions in this outfit Shannon. The amount of roll on the jeans is just right and the faux tuck is perfect. And the choice of footwear is brilliant. Lovely, lovely outfit.
