WIW: White, orange & cobalt

Today's outfit started with my white slimmer fitting cropped white pants. These were slightly too short to wear full length but instead of having them hemmed, I decided to just cuff them twice. Does it work?

I paired the white bottoms with a bright orange slightly slouchy, very light weight knit sweater. I forgot to show you the back but it has an exposed gold zipper all the way from hem to neck. It also has two front (almost side actually) pockets with gold grommet detailing (they don't show well in the pics).

For footwear, I went with my bone laser cut oxfords which, now that they are completely broken in, are like slippers.  And for my handbag, I went with LBB (Little Bag Blue). Love the bright combo of white, orange and cobalt.

What do you think? does it all work together? proportions ok? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Orange and blue is fab! I really like the pants cuffed. Great outfit!

Wonderful colors! And isn't being able to roll pants about the most convenient thing ever?

Good morning. You look lovely. Love that orange and it looks so good on you. Why, even your glasses fit right in :)

If you promise not to laugh I will say this is yet another of my favorite outfits of yours. The orange, white and blue are spectacular on you!

    What Shevia said! Gorgeous, Shannon!

Wow. Love this combo right down to the shoes. Tremendous on you.
So glad you have the bag- it takes everything somewhere special.

Love it! My oxfords are a little like yours and I had thought of rolling my white jeans up. Now I want to copy you :)

You are rockin' the white clothes this season, girlfriend! Pairing the white slacks with orange and blue is color perfection. Fantastical!

White is your signature color for the Summer, Shannon! Beautiful energy and silhouette!

Yay!  I love the brights and you wear everything perfectly!

I think three colours is one too many. The shoes are gorgeous, don't let the colours take away from them!

I've been looking for a perforated pair like this for a while now, Clarks seems forever sold out.

I think the jeans definitely work like this. The sweater is my favourite shade of orange. YLF!

Your creamsicle outfit! Which I mean in a good way. It's so refreshingly summer! I've paired blue, white and orange before--they're so vacation-y with echoes of sun, water and whitewashed villas. You must have been so happy wearing this.

Gorgeous!!!  I love this on. So fab and fresh. I love, love, love the ornage nad blue on you, particularly paired with white.

White really has become your signature color this summer!

I really like the orange sweater with the blue bag.  It looks perfect and also somewhat unexpected.  I love the loafers with the rolled jeans.

Oh soooo relieved the cuffed pants work - thanks for the validation.

Shevia - I promise not to laugh. You're so sweet :)

Diane - I never would have rolled pants and worn them with oxfords without YLF encouragement. I was sure I was too short to pull off the look.

lucyt90 - totally appreciate your honest feedback. Since I'm not carrying the cobalt handbag while at work, the outfit pretty much does only have two colors.

    Mochi - ooooohhh.....love creamsicles!

Angie has totally brainwashed me (in the absolute best way of course) into loving white. Like I mentioned in a previous thread, I feel like I want a bit of white in every outfit I wear these days.

Thanks for the outfit love ladies!

What Lantana said. I hope not to offend you or make you uncomfortable but you are looking particularly slim these days. Your efforts are paying off. Excellent.

    Shannon, what a fresh outfit.

Last summer even I had worn the same combo- orange tunic, white skinnies and cobalt and turquoise blue necklace with my nude bag. Here's a photo.

I love me a cuffed jean, and the white shoes keep the legs long. LOVE the orange and blue!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Zap - yes, telling me I'm looking slim is very offensive...NOT - LOL!!!

Asingh - love your orange and white outfit! Isn't it such a great combination?

Rae - my legs looking long? Yeah, all 29 inch inseam worth - lol!

Thanks MaryK, Joy, Ceit, AJ, and Astrid :)

Blue and cobalt work so well together, especially with white.

Shannon, you are a master of proportions.  I just realized I never look at your photos and think they are a bit off.  Keep it up!

  • replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous solid and bright perfection! I see that lovely bag made it's way to you. The simplicity and bold colors look very sporty to me (the fashion forward kind of sporty). Love!
