WIW: White and the forgotten pullover

In my gigantic purge last week, I came across this silk-linen blend teal pullover that I thought I had lost. It had gotten squished behind the other pullovers on my closet shelf and was basically shoved between the shelf and the wall. I was thrilled when I came across it because this fits in with my new comfort and fab fabric style direction.

So today's outfit started with the teal pullover. I should note that I am wearing a white camisole underneath the pullover because of its sheerness and I'm not sure that it's photographing well as a result. I faux tucked the pullover into my white leather belt, which is holding up my TR Brianna white BF jeans. I'm wearing the jeans full length today 'cause my A/C in the office yesterday was positively frigid (they are working on fixing it) and there was no way I was baring my ankles. For shoes I went with my pewter wedge peep toe pumps which echo the silver buckle on my belt and the silver in my watch. They look a bit dark I think but I didn't want to wear my cream oxfords and my feet needed a break from the bone/silver sandal shoes - so I'm going with these. I kept the large cream handbag I used yesterday and my silver wrap watch again (love this watch!).

What do you think? Does this work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Looks good! Hooray for finding the sweater!

This most definitely works. The colour of the sweater is devine. His is a wonderful example of a more casual outfit that still looks polished and professional.

This looks like the sea. I love the contrast between the teal and white. What a great find!

What a wonderful sweater, you must be thrilled to have found it.

I'm finding something a bit off with the shoes, but I can't put my finger on what it is. I think it's the shape, not the colour. Minor!

That sweater is a beautiful color, and it looks fab against the white of your jeans. Yay for finding lost items!

it's a terrific color combo - the teal is a great color with your skin & hair and I like that the metallic of the wedge is just a wee bit darker!! - It looks comfy and cool and very put together!!

Teal is a fabulous colour for you. I can see the outfit with black cut out booties too for an edgier look if you fancy a change.

Elizabeth - I agree - there is definitely something off about the shoes. Oh well....too late now :)

Thanks all for the teal sweater love!

Perfect semi-tuck and I love the jeans with the white belt!

More teal sweater love from me! Some color experts consider teal a universal color, but it's tricky on me - too light and I look uninteresting, too dark and I look sickly, too blue, etc so I don't even try. But on you!!!

  • jackiec replied 5 years ago

One of my fav colour combos! So crisp! You look great! Too bad about the frigid AC at work - I hate that :(

  • Neel replied 5 years ago

Please don't loose the top again!! :). It looks beautiful on you! And with the white it is absolutely stunning.

Such a lovely coloured sweater Shannon, I love it! The accents of silver are fab as is the bag. The shoe colour tone with the silver really well. Looking good!

You look great Shannon!  This outfit is so simple and yet so stylish and chic!  AND - in case you didn't already know it - that teal color is one of your best!

  • MsLuna replied 5 years ago

Isn't it great when you find something hidden in your closet that is truly a gem! That colour works wonderfully on you, Shannon!

Also, I saw your last WIW with the EF dress. I'm really liking the direction your style shift is going! I noticed the looks seem to be more simple, streamlined yet comfortable! I'm really looking forward to more!

Beautiful top color. I don't think the shoes are too dark at all, since gray-blues are nice bookending with the top, and also they're open and summery.

  • shedev replied 5 years ago

Beautiful top. I think the shoes bookend with your hair nicely.
