WIW: Tweaked with white

I've worn this abstract print dress before with my navy Lanai blazer, but wore my black kitten heel pumps and carried a black handbag. To lighten up the combination today to make it a bit more springy, I chose my black and white ankle strap pointy toe pumps and my large cream handbag. I'm happy with the combination. I think it would look even better with my white leather clutch since I think the large cream satchel is a bit out of scale somehow with this outfit. But too late now to change it.

What do you think? Do the touches of white help to lighten up the overall outfit? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Love it! I really like how the two-tone shoes pick up on the light/dark patterning of the dress. Fab outfit and very flattering!

Looks terrific, and the white definitely lightens it up and pulls out the lighter spots in the dress. Great look!

Love this and your shoes are the perfect way to lighten up the outfit. They make your legs look so long.

The touches of white lighten up the outfit nicely, and they draw out the lighter shades in the dress. I also love the subtle pattern mixing between the shes and the dress. I don't think the bag looks out of scale.

I think the touches of white work brilliantly to lighten up the outfit for spring. Those shoes are beautiful. You look great!

leopardluxe - oooooh, I didn't even think of how the two tones in the shoes would work with the light and dark tones in the dress. Thanks for pointing that out!

Aquamarine - isn't it interesting how these shoes can make my legs look long with there's a black strap cutting me off?

Karie - glad to hear the bag doesn't look too cumbersome with the outfit.

Janet - I bought these shoes last spring when the Okala craze first hit YLF. They are an inexpensive knock off style but still real leather and very comfortable.

Thanks for your comments ladies - now here's hoping my knee can handle the heel height of these shoes today (I did bring my kitten heel pumps as back ups just in case).

    Yes, this is PERFECT!
I adore those shoes, and along with the light colored bag they really brighten your outfit up for spring.
Did I mention I love those shoes?

This is a great transeasonal look and the lighter accessories definitely bring it into spring - I could see this with a white jacket too further lighten the look.

    Perfectly k-word worthy.

    White ALWAYS packs the punch.

Goal accomplished! The shoes are especially brighteners. Now what this dress really needs is a blush moto topper ;)

I love it as it is, but of course I agree - the white clutch is smaller and more angular and would play very nicely against the rest of your outfit. The strappy pumps are just perfect, Shannon.

    Gorgeous!

Yes it definitely works!! Gosh I want those pumps, I think those are some of the best I've seen in that style. The high back makes me swoon.
