WIW: Toffee, Tomato, White & Burgundy

I absolutely LOVE IT when Angie posts an ensemble idea and I'm actually able to put together some sort of rendition of it. So today is my version of Angie's toffee, tomato, white and burgundy ensemble.

The outfit started with my burgundy skinnies - which unfortunately seem to photograph black. But trust me - they are burgundy. I then grabbed my white mesh sleeve Gap voluminous pull over. This pull over has a LOT of volume and sometimes I find it just too darned bulky, but a semi tuck reins it in a bit. A toffee leather belt and my taupe patent kitten heels finish the indoor part of the outfit. Then for stepping outdoors, I have added my new faux leather jacket in a dark toffee-not-quite-cognac jacket. My red and animal print clutch are the nod to the red portion of the ensemble, as well as my red specs and lip stick. Gold watch and wedding band finish off the outfit.

What do you think? Did I pull off Angie's ensemble? I must admit I never would have put these pieces together on my own but really love the mix. Thanks Angie :) All comments/suggestions welcome.

Fantastic! I really like the peak of the caramel (or toffee) belt with the white and burgundy. I am convinced!

I love it, especially with the jacket.

I love the way all the elements of this outfit work together. The clutch and leather jacket take it to the highest level of fabness!

Really fab! I'll admit I too loved Angie's postabout this color combo, but thought I'll have to tweak it even further for the clothes I have...and that outfit would be   almost one like you wear today!:-)

Very nice!  I loved Angie's post about this colour combo, it sounded good enough to eat :).  I love it on you, well done!

You did brilliantly!! I have been struggling to figure out how I am going to tweak this particular one -- no tomato red at all in my closet except for a scarf.

You know, I finally passed along my GAP mesh sleeve sweaters, for the reason  you name. Although I was happy to semi-tuck, they just stretched out too much each wearing. I got some additional wears from them by popping them in the dryer each time, as you suggested, but finally I decided: enough!

Of course, this is the ONE rare case after an edit where I often find myself looking for a top with that type of neckline in that colour and approximate weight. So I may have a "wardrobe hole" for something similar. Hmmmmm.

Like this look on you Shannon - the lighter colours are a nice change and great way to wear that new jacket!  I am continually amazed by what is in your closet - you have clearly nailed down this process.   I am in awe and a bit in envy:)

I really like your interpretation ... particularly the pants, jacket and clutch. It looks super together. Polished w/pizazz.

Wow! Thanks every one. I'll be repeating this I think - although not with this white pullover thanks to a luncheon mishap involving vegetable soup and a slippery cafeteria tray :(
