WIW: The Dark Side

Thanks to Angie's tutelage, I have come to love wearing white - white jeans in particular. But I must confess to my love of wearing black and moody outfits and I know this will never change. So today's outfit is my homage to The Dark Side.

I started with my ponte knit slim leg jeggings (why didn't I buy something like these before???) and added my newly eBayed grey abstract patterned silk EF tunic tank. Love at first sight - and feel! 

On top of that, I've added my EF sparkly bronze mesh hi-lo cardigan. I like to scrunch the sleeves on this cardigan to give it a bit more structure. 

I chose my trusty Clarks black leather shooties for footwear and then finished off the outfit with my black leather handbag, red specs and red lips. I don't wear jewelry with this cardigan because I don't want to catch anything on the mesh.

What do you think? Does it all work together? I'll be wearing this trouser and tank combination with my black leather jacket and my Red Tulip asymmetrical  cardigan as other options.

    My, you are hitting it out of the ball park lately Shannon. You have added some truly fab pieces to your wardrobe and they are working for you:). I think this works very nicely. Love the moody vibe of this outfit. Swap out to a pair of silky tapered trousers and you have a great evening out outfit.

    Welcome dear girl back to the dark side!! Love this on you! The cardi is just so fab, trying to make out the pattern of the top but sure I would adore it irl, I love subtle play on shade. Just perfect!! I have ponte jeans from AT and they are so versatile. Same thing, how did I live without them!!

    That cardi is just the right amount of fun with the dark outfit :). I can't make out the pattern of the top either, but I imagine it would be lovely! Another fantastic comfy look :)

    Fabulous moody outfit Shannon. I love the cardi and the new ponte pants look wonderful. I can imagine they are super comfortable for a full day at work.

    There is always room for the dark side when it looks this good. The sparkle adds just the right amount of lightness. It's moody, but a good mood not depressing!

    I love the dark side!  Something about it just feels "right" to me so many times.  Even though this outfit is dark it has so many details that stand out: the sparkles and the shape of the cardigan, the detail in the shoes....  at first I thought you were wearing your Docs.  Did you try it with those?  It looks good with your Clarks I'm just slightly obsessed with your Docs right now.
