WIW: Team Wear in an Angie pick

When I saw this BCBG blush pink blouse in Angie's Spring and Summer Tops picks, I fell in love BIG TIME! I loved the shape, the drape, and the soft colour combination. Well I bought it in this weekend and there is no time to waste in wearing it!

I've paired this gorgeous blouse with crisp white jeans, rolled in BF style. I chose my bone/silver sandal shoes for footwear and my simple white leather clutch and a grey/silver enamel bangle for accessories.

This blouse is magical, especially for us apple shaped ladies. I can also see it semi tucked into faded BF jeans, with a simple black pencil skirt and heels for work, with my slouchy black trousers, under my white blazer or white leather jacket, with my blush leather jacket - I love it. Thank you Angie for showing me this beauty :)

What do you think? Does this work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blouse: BCBG
Jeans: Reitmans
Shoes: Fugitive
Clutch: Danier Leather

Gorgeous!  love the pretty soft colors.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

That pink is so pretty on you! I love how the silver matches the straps of your shoes and your bf is perfect!

  • dianne replied 9 years ago

    Stunning!!!!

Pretty colour on you, Shannon! It looks great with the white jeans.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

This is beautiful on you, Shannon! I love it! (Can you believe, I want it myself???? OY!!)

Also, every single time you wear those shoes I think about the CPW and how by now it has dwindled to nothing.

These have been complete workhorses for you.

You have a superb shopping instinct. I am sure you do have your share of duds which you purge, but a big proportion of your purchases are complete wins. And when the win is as big as with those shoes, it is so worth it!

I think the blouse will also be a workhorse given all the ways you already know how to wear it!

What Suz said. This is a beautiful blouse and I would seriously consider it if it was not 100% poly fabric. The colors are beautiful and magic with white!

Gorgeous! I think your new blouse is stunning on you. Your white jeans and bone and silver sandals are perfect with it.

  • Nebraskim replied 9 years ago

So very lovely on you. A complete winner. Don't you love it when that happens!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

WOW! I can't help but say it - this is another favorite (I seem to say that about all of your outfits)! That top is gorgeous and you've styled it beautifully. And those shoes are fabulous.

  • viva replied 9 years ago

Oh Shannon! I also noticed this right away when Angie posted it but didn't think it would work for me (still don't). But on you it is GORGEOUS. It is so feminine without being frilly. The cut is just amazingly flattering. The color is perfect. This goes to the top of my list of Shannon faves. Really, this is just delicious.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 9 years ago

Thank you all so much. I will unabashedly admit that I feel amazing in this blouse and outfit. Dare I say it? I feel pretty.

Suz - oh I still make my share of shopping mistakes but I will say they are becoming less and less. And it seems that now that I'm purchasing fewer items (honestly I am, although it probably doesn't seem that way), I'm much more careful in what ends up coming home with me. And I'm trying to trust my "gut reaction" more.

Sveta - I'm not a huge fan of 100% poly myself but this blouse is light, fluid and very silk like in its feel. I suspect the breathability will be pretty decent.

ETA: Viva - you have hit the nail on the head - "feminine without being frilly". That's what I love about this blouse.

Stunning! That blouse is absolutely beautiful on you. I want I want!! Love the whites with it. Wow.

  • Astrid replied 9 years ago

This is gorgeous! I love the soft colors, so pretty. You look stunning. :)

Wow, what a gorgeous blouse! It was my prefferate of that Angie's round up, too. I love that faded pink and white together. Greate shape, drape, and print, too! YLF Shannon!

  • Laura replied 9 years ago

You look gorgeous in blush! Pretty is indeed the word for it!

  • Mona replied 9 years ago

Looks lovely on you, Shannon! Where did you find thsi?

  • Angela K replied 9 years ago

That color just lights you up! So pretty! :)

  • Beth Ann replied 9 years ago

Oh yes, dramatic, but still soft.  That's a hard combination to find, and it looks amazing on you.  You need a little swish and swagger through the halls if you gonna wear this.  Put on the model walk, and call everyone "dahling."  It has a certain 30's Carole Lombard or Myrna Loy vibe.

  • Windchime replied 9 years ago

That blouse is gorgeous on you! I love the softness of this outfit with the pink, white, and silver.

  • Suja replied 9 years ago

Love the blouse!  I saw it in black, didn't know it came in pink.  Looks wonderful on you, especially with the shoes.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

Killer Gorgeous. And sooooo pretty. You look fresher and yummier than a strawberry milkshake.

Those shoes are getting one heck of a workout AGAIN, Shannon. I love it. xo

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

    Nice!

  • shiny replied 9 years ago

I had my eye on that one too, but wasn't sure if it was the right shade of blush for me, or would be more the deathly/washed out shade. It looks so lovely on you, now I am tempted to try it myself! Also I wasn't sure if it would work on someone 5'0 tall. I forget how tall you are, Shannon? What size did you go with?

Also, please tell me more about those shoes - they are adorable! Are they comfy? Would they work for me? Link? :-)

  • Echo replied 9 years ago

Lovely blouse, and brilliant to pair the soft shade with white instead of a darker colour. And I still adore those shoes. YLF!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 9 years ago

Angie - I have to tell you...this might be my favorite blouse EVER. It just falls and drapes so perfectly, hides any wobbly bits and is just the perfect summer piece. And I am going to cry when these shoes get too raggedy to wear. They were workhorses last summer and again this summer. I'm pretty sure the CPW is down to nothing.

Mona - I actually bought this blouse at my local BCBG store, although my link is from Piperlime.

Shiny - this blouse would work perfectly on you. It really is a pale pink, not that kind of blush color that reminds you of a bandaid, you know? And I'm only 5 feet tall. It runs a bit big so although I normally wear a large, this blouse is in a medium. You would probably need an XS. Unfortunately the shoes are two years old and as far as I know, no longer available in stores. They are a brand called Fugitive by Francesco Rossi.

Thanks so much for your lovely words everyone :)

  • Gracie replied 9 years ago

Lovely and so feminine – I love 3 with the harmonizing clutch - YLF!

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

I knew this would look stunning on you! totally gorgeous Shannon!

  • bella replied 9 years ago

    Absolutely gorgeous!

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

This is beautiful, soft, modern and chic.  Perfect Shannon, and the length ends at a very flattering spot on you.

  • Inge replied 9 years ago

This couldn't be more perfect for you, Shannon. The cut of the blouse, the pattern, the soft colour. And it's absolutely beautiful with those fab shoes and your white trousers. You are on a roll this Summer, my word.

  • DonnaF replied 9 years ago

Stunning!!!  One of my very favorites on you!  You absolutely know how to dress your body, and every piece from shoes to pants to top *get* you.

  • Cindy S replied 9 years ago

Shannon, you are slaying me with your recent purchases, like Suz, I WANT! Do I detect a bit of lace cami peeking at the neckline? Please tell me it is sheerish so I can get over my blouse lust (I am soon moving to a place where I won't be able to stand a double layer). At least, that is what I will tell myself as I clutch my wallet CLOSED with both hands!

  • ElleH replied 9 years ago

Gorgeous outfit & the colours really suit you. So fresh.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 9 years ago

Cindy - you're in luck I guess. The blouse is a wee bit sheer and I'm wearing a cami with a lace neckline underneath.

  • Cindy S replied 9 years ago

Whew! It is simply stunning on you, and probably my favorite of your recent outfits but they have all been fab!

  • Elizabeth P replied 9 years ago

    OUCH!
I am not wearing my crash helmet :(

This is seriously one of my favs on you.  And you are looking so amazing I'm wishing I could wear this colour... but I can't.

    Wow.

  • unfrumped replied 9 years ago

Lovely blouse! Kind of a kimono- handkerchief ! Really nice proportions worn the pants. I like how the sloes and the neatness if the outfit elevate it from what could be just a casual white jeans look.

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Shannon I thought I had commented last night... must have dreamt it:)

Stunning blouse.  It honestly looks like it was made for you.  The colours are so flattering.  This is going to be a prized piece in your wardrobe.

  • MsLuna replied 9 years ago

Shannon, the blouse looks gorgeous on you! So light and feminine!

  • catgirl replied 9 years ago

Was waiting so see you in this - I can't wear this color but you look BEAUTIFUL!

  • Jeanie replied 9 years ago

Sooo, sooo pretty.  I am dying!  And those shoes are perfect for the outfit!

  • Debra replied 9 years ago
