WIW: Sporty Eileen

Are you sick of my love affair with Eileen Fisher yet??? I hope not - 'cause it's not going away any time soon!

Today's outfit is a comfy Casual Friday look for work with a hint of sporty in the footwear. It started with my EF slim leg cropped trousers. I need to find the winter full length version of these - love these pants! I've paired the trousers with my drape pleated front cobalt/black print sleeveless blouse. For warmth, I've topped the blouse with my EF linen-blend cropped cardigan.

For footwear, I chose an ancient pair (6 years or so) of Skechers I have. Funny thing about these shoes - they are a leather-felt fabric combination. The fabric part was very dirty which is why I haven't worn them in a while. So late last night while putting some things away in my cleaning cabinet, I came across a spray bottle of upholstery cleaner I had and thought to myself - why not? - I'm not wearing them now 'cause they're dirty so it's worth a try. Well lo and behold, it worked great on the shoes. Who knew?

To finish off the outfit, I went with my quilted cobalt/cream handbag, gunmetal and abalone shell bracelet and my black/white specs.

Comfort level on this outfit is through the roof :)  What do you think? Does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Great save on the shoes, Shannon! Cute outfit.

And oh...Angie's blog post this morning? I was SO WISHING that EF red dress had fit you!!!!!

Again, you have come up with a wonderful outfit, pulled from your well edited closet. It looks comfortable yet great for a Friday at work. I hope that you find a full length version of the EF slim legs. They look great on you.

Very nice! Your bag really pulls everything together, beautifully.

Shevia - cobalt and black is such a great color combo isn't it?

Suz - don't even get me started on the dark red EF dress! I wanted it to fit sooooooo bad. But I'm on the hunt for a smaller size.

Joy - if my closet gets any more "curated" it will barely exist and only consist of EF - lol!

JAileen - I'm so glad I bought this handbag - I've used it even more than I had anticipated.

You really should be an EF model :)

Well done on the shoe-cleaning too!

I had a pair of black Skechers that were my "travel shoes" for years.  This summer, I bought a pair of their sneakers, because they were so amazingly cushy, light and supportive.

You know that cobalt is always getting a thumbs up from me -- love the texture in the sweater, too!

You look great in black and cobalt! I totally understand (and share) your love for Eileen Fisher.
Call me crazy, but I throw my similar shoes in the washing machine, and they come out just fine!

Cute! This reads a little more casual than most of your work outfits do to me, not sure if it's a single thing that could be swapped though. I especially love the stripe of white in your purse adding a little cheerful bright touch.

    Upholstery cleaner for shoes...genius!

I love cobalt, so this outfit gets a thumbs up for comfort and looks...but, I'm not feeling the shoes. I'm not sure if it's the Mary Jane style or that it's too casual. If I had to find a substitute, maybe black oxfords, but then it probably wouldn't be sporty anymore.

Although I'm sure your feet had a happy Friday! :)

It is a very cute casual outfit - and EF pays you back with love in spades!
