WIW: Slouchy with lace

Hmmm...in looking at this outfit, it isn't very summery, is it? Oh well...too late to change it now and I do like the combination.

The outfit started with my blue lace moto jacket which is over top of my asymmetrical ruched tank. The tank is paired with my slouchy trousers and on my feet, my black pointy toe kitten heel pumps. For my handbag, I'm wearing LBB.

What do you think? Not summery enough? Does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Oh, love it! Love the lacey moto, has such a great style with zips todramatic assimetric collar, and transparent sleeves. Love the slounch, and blue bag too. Great outfit, as usual! If it's cloudy like here today and 15-18°C it makes perfectly  sense not wearing the brightest whites with other extra cheerish colors. I by myself cannot do against wheather, I always dress for, and not against it.

I love how the lacy sleeves match the low vamp shoes. I think it could be lightened up to make it a bit more summery (have you tried rolling these pants to make kind of harem capris?)

I like these pieces together. That moto is great on you.

Another day, this outfit could be easily be lightened up with a different top. Very versatile!

Love! And since I already copied the lace jacket it will be a snap to copy the whole thing!

    What Ceit said.

I love that jacket, and the outfit looks great, but you're right- it could use a little lightening up for summer. Maybe a white top instead of the black?
As we go into fall I would love the outfit as is.

These are Greg's happy colours and he thinks this is a very Summer-y look :)

It might not be bright and white, but it's still a KILLER outfit in the right weights for your climate - especially when you add the bag. I'm loving it, Shannon! You know you had me with the lace. xo

It's okay to wear darker colours in summer, too, you know! Everybody needs a change once in a while, after all. I think it works just fine.

I like black, even in summer, so I don't have a problem with the colors.  At one time I had 4 black summer dresses (I'm down to 3 now).  I think your shoes and handbag make it look summery enough.

So glad to know I wasn't completely off the mark with this one! And our office A/C is ridiculously cold today so I actually liked being a bit more covered up.

    Thanks ladies :)

Love this look, I need to find a jacket like this now :)

It may be because I stay looking cleaner than I do in white but I love darker blues in summer. YLF (as always).

Just fine! For work I still think in terms of needing  a goodly base of dark neutrals  in seasonal fabrics for summer.

Black works for me in summer so i think this looks fabulous.   Modern and lady like and I adore the navy with the black.  I think this is fab work outfit.
