I think the taupe and deep coral red are perfect together and not an unusual combination at all. The clutch is perfect with it too.

I love the combination. I might also like the jacket open - have you tried that? It's a great color on you and I love those shoes.

So interesting! I like it! It's definitely fashion forward.

Great combination and you are more than up to carrying off these two pieces together. I love the pants with those shoes too.

Another beautiful Shannon outfit! I would also like to see it with the jacket open.

the volume on volume totally works. especially love your pose and how the ensemble looks in pic 3!

oooh! This is pretty, Shannon. Very luxe-feeling. I love the trousers with those shoes. Love your lipstick, too. I think you carry off the jacket and trousers together because IRL there would be considerably "flow" with movement. There's a suggestion of that even when you are standing still.

Jeanne & Tanya - next time I'll wear the jacket open but no can do today - just wearing a thin cami underneath (would be a work wardrobe malfunction!).
Suz - the outfit does have a "flow" to it and I feel almost "floaty" when I walk because everything just kind of softly move around.
Sona - lol that you commented on my pose in #3. I'm doing my best not to look dorky!
Thanks Dianthus, Deborah, Manidipa, Marianna and Shevia!

Love it! You are SO good at matching on trend pieces with your vintage ones. The effect is so sharp and inimitable. Those shoes are perfect with your trousers and I love the lippy that matches your jacket. Fab colors together. And that clutch! You look smashing Shannon!

This is fantastic, Shannon! (I think you know that this outfit is a winner, you look so happy and relaxed in your photos too). I love how everything drapes so perfectly and the color/shine combination is so luxe.

From the description, I thought there was a danger of a pajama vibe, but the jacket has enough structure that it's perfect! Such a fun outfit!

Angie - thank you for the 10 and I think I like being shiny!
Jamie - thank you so much. I never would have thought a petite apple could wear slouchy trousers but I guess it all depends on the trousers.
Claire - I really appreciate your comment about pairing my vintage pieces with on trend pieces. I think this is something that's really becoming part of my signature style and something I hope to continue.
MaryK - are you up off the floor yet? I hope you didn't bump your head!
Diana - you know, I think I did know this was a good combination. I instantly felt comfortable and happy in it.
Rae - this is as close to pajama pants as you'll ever see me get! You needn't worry!
Thank you for your kind comments Astrid, Una, Lori, and Meredith!

So cool! Pajamas were actually a (what's bigger than micro but smaller than macro) trend on a lot of street style blogs.
