WIW: Silky shorts & floral moto

Decided to take a WIW pic when I got home from work after all. My day didn't feel complete without this place :)

I combined my silky slouchy shorts with a black cowl neck tank, semi-tucked to show my black and taupe snakeskin belt. On top of that I popped on my Club Monaco floral moto jacket. I would have preferred a white slouchy tee with this combination but have yet to find the right one. I added my taupe pointy toe pumps and I like how both the shoes and the belt bring out the taupe colour that is scattered here and there in the jacket. My light cream satchel handbag rounded out the outfit.

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Jacket: Club Monaco
Tank: Sears
Shorts: Baby Phat (thrifted)
Belt: Olsen Europe (thrifted)
Shoes: Cole Haan
Handbag: Danier Leather

BTW I've posted a thread in the Off Topics section if you would like to know what's going with me.

Gorgeous outfit for a gorgeous girl!

Love the shorts, top, and the shoes go perfectly with the outfit! Pre-YLF I always thought I had to wear black shoes when wearing black elsewhere, but now I like taupe - it extends the leg line.

KILLER to the power of KILLER

Your best with those shorts, Shannon. Love the juxtaposition of the retro moto with the silky shorts. So fun!

Love the texture and pattern contrast with the silky shorts and the floral moto. You look amazing.

Well my goodness Angie - you are fainting from your own suggestion :) It was you who suggested pairing the moto with the shorts and I am merely following my teacher's advice!

These shorts are turning out to be a fabulous fun summer find - I think I paid $5.99 for them.

Zap - yep Baby Phat! ME???

    Thanks everyone :)

Oh my word! That's hilarious. I had forgotten that. Oh well! I am very consistant  with my taste level I guess :). I am humbled that you followed through on my suggestion. Thanks, beautiful lady.

Ha ha ha Angie! Now what would you have done if you didn't like the combination???

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Absolutely adorable. Shannon, no one would ever guess what you are going through. You are a TROUPER!!!

    LOL about Angie. :-)

I have not read your o/t thread yet, but whatever is troubling you it is certainly not detracting from your fabness. And LOL about Angie fainting from her own suggestion above!

    I love it.

This looks so well thought out yet effortless. I'm envious of your new shorts. The black top with the shorts makes a nice column that's easy on the eye

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

    I love it too.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago
