WIW: Professional Rock n' Roll

Might as well let the new co-workers know of my love of Danier and all things leather, right?

Today's outfit started with my blackwatch trousers with leather trim. I fully tucked a black tank with a small ruffle detail at the neck. Normally I don't fully tuck but I did this time as I wanted the leather yoke of the trousers to show. I topped the tank with my Danier black leather blazer. The reason I chose the tank with the small neck detail was to soften the blazer a bit - for a change, you know?

For footwear I went with my trusty Doc Marcie wedge boots and again went with my black leather with gold trim handbag. Rose gold/black watch, gold wedding band and swipe of red lipstick finish off the outfit.

This outfit is ME. It's a little bit edgy but still professional. What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blazer and handbag: Danier Leather
Tank: Cleo Petite
Trousers: Lord & Taylor
Boots: Doc Martens
Watch: Fossil (eBay)

Yes! I like the shirt tucked because the yoke detail is super. I hope you have as good a day as you look!

I hope you don't mind Shannon that we are now 'handbag twins'. I had been eyeing 'our' handbag and your post featuring it yesterday pushed me over the handbag cliff. Picked up the last one at our outlet location :-)

Fabulous! Tucking gives you a nice elongated leg and the detail on the pants is lovely. Definitely a little edgy and very you.

This looks so fabulous that I don't know where to begin. Simplicity but with interesting detail; professional but showing personality.

Love this on you Shannon.  You may see the same outfit showing up on me sometime soon... except the pants are ankle length on me, so hard to wear with booties.

Merwoman - so thrilled to hear about being bag twins! Don't you just love it?

Jeanne - I bet you look smashing in the plaid trousers!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I felt kinda fierce in this ensemble today.

The new job is fantastic but of course I'm feeling rather overwhelmed right now with so much to take in. I'm not keeping up with the forum as much as I would like but grabbing snippets where I can.

    Love y'all :)
