WIW: Plaid & Leather

I've decided to wear my winter items one last time this week and then start to introduce some spring items/colors into the mix despite the never ending cold and snow.

So today's offering includes my black watch plaid slouchy trousers and my blue leather jacket as a blazer. For a top, I'm wearing my black asymmetrical ruched tank. For footwear, I chose my black patent booties and then for an unexpected colour, I chose my yellow with cobalt zipper snakeskin clutch.

I'll be really REALLY glad when I can wear this leather jacket as an actual outdoor leather jacket - I'M SO SICK OF WINTER!!!

Anyway…what do you think? Does this work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Jacket: Danier Leather
Tank: Attitude by Jay Manuel
Trousers: Lord & Taylor
Booties: Ara
Clutch: Trouve

It looks beautiful Shannon.  I really like the two leathers, navy and yellow snakeskin, together.  I am very sick of the winter myself, so I hear you.

Great look! I thought of trying something vaguely springy today but then checked the weather forecast and it's -19 with the windchill this morning! When will it END?!

Looks good, Shannon. I like the yellow bag with this!

Shannon, you look terrific! I really love the unexpected combination of the black watch plaid with the yellow/cobalt snakeskin… works beautifully together. I am commiserating with you re: being sick of winter. We are getting snow here tomorrow. I am soooo ready for Spring!

Lovely, Shannon. The jacket is divine. The clutch adds an element of lightness and acts as a transition piece...a herald of Spring!

    Thanks all :)

Kerry - that is the million dollar question isn't it? When will it END???

Gorgeous! But hope you don't need to wear it again soon.

Fantastic! But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for better weather anyway.

Absolutely, it works! That jacket is going to be great for spring...if it ever comes....

The yellow and cobalt clutch adds a nice Spring touch, Shannon. You are dead right to wear your Winter clothes when it's arctic outside. You look terrific none the less. xo

Love this jacket!  And your look is fab, even if you're dying to bring out the pastels!  I'm wearing my tall boot and black and cobalt tomorrow --- for the snow that's coming.

The tartan pant has been an amazing workhorse for you!

I love how the yellow snake bag plays quite nicely with the green in your blackwatch trousers. I adore this look and look forward when I can go back to wearing my leather jackets as outerwear too!

You always create great visual interest and this outfit does it on all fronts - leather, plaid, snakeskin not to mention the colour mix - wow.

THAT JACKET ROCKS.  You look wonderful - I need you to keep inspiring me to survive winter.

I love that jacket on you! And the bag packs the perfect punch of color :) ... You look perfect in spite of the lousy weather.

Weather is weird here too ... Its been raining since last evening and temps have suddenly dipped yet again. I am not complaining though .... I really don't want an 8 month 50C weather ! I might as well enjoy while it lasts! :D

Waving at my pant twin! Love this look and you make me want a navy leather jacket all the more. My pants are at the cleaners or I'd join you today. After a lovelry 65F Saturday we had snow yesterday and it will be low 30s today. Also done with winter.
