WIW: Optic White & Lemon Yellow

Today's outfit is inspired by Angie and Sveta - Sveta wore this yellow blazer with white last week and it looked so fresh and cheery; Angie wears white jeans year round and has convinced me that they are a wardrobe staple.

I've popped on my Gap yellow academy blazer over top of a simple white tee, semi tucked into my sized up white skinny jeans. I'm wearing my python booties for footwear and carrying my white leather clutch. I have yet another pop of white with my white watch.

What do you think? This is very much out of my comfort zone. As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Blazer: Gap
Tee: Joe Fresh
Jeans: Jessica Simpson
Boots: Sam Edelman
Clutch: Danier Leather
Watch: thrifted

Very fresh! You and Angie are on the same wavelength today :-). You could also try a darker belt if you wanted a bit of contrast between the tee and the jeans.

So pretty! It might be outside your comfort zone but I feel a lot of comfort gazing at you. Those python booties are the bomb! They just amp up the style quotient of any outfit. I love the tipped blazer too, and the little caramel strap on your clutch. It is these warm and sassy touches that keep the outfit from being sterile.

I just jumped here from looking at Angie's morning post - great minds think alike! You look bright and beautiful in this!

You look great, Shannon! I tried a column of white plus my lilac blazer this morning, but I didn't feel knightly enough so I changed. I love this though, and I want to copy it when I figure out how to adapt it to my style.

Shannon, you look terrific.  You usually do, but this knocks it out of the park.  I think this is one of my favorite outfits you have ever posted!

It doesn't get more Spring than this! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, Shannon.

Looking at Angie's outfit today, I now wish I had popped on my bone and black snakeskin belt instead, to break up the column of white a bit...oh well, next time.

I've also decided I need another pair of white jeans - I find these ones bag out a bit more than I'd like by lunch time :( I also wouldn't mind a looser fit white button down - something akin to the J Crew tuxedo shirt (which does not come in my size unfortunately).

love this colour on you and would like to wear it myself but its soul sucking on me,maybe shoes or bag would be ok for me but you look fab in it.

Wow, you and Angie are fraternal twins today! So much fun. You are inspiring me to do a white look, too.

I really like this look with the column of white down the center with the yellow jacket.  I love your booties!  The more I wear my white jeans the more I realize I need some lighter boots to pair with them.

Despite the rain, I'm planning on following your (and Angie's) lead and wear my white jeans today!

The yellow gives such an energy to your look, and the proportions are great!  The white watch is fresh and crisp.

You look ready to make your own sunshine!

Looks great! I especially like the white belt with it - for some reason I would not have thought of that. The yellow is very fresh!

KILLER!!! So happy, fresh, clean cut and modern.

    WOW!

You knew I would love this and faint.

Angie - you're getting quite the assortment of crash helmuts. As far as I can recall, you now have citron, pink and white. It's nice that you can change them up according to your outfit :)

Thank you everyone. So far my column of white is staying clean - although I've never sipped coffee quite as carefully as I have today!

Such a FAB look, Shannon!  I see you and Suz are now expanding your Danier love to the purse department too.  Do they sell shoes?  :)

Love it! You look super crisp. Make it part of your comfort zone, lady :)

    Love this so much:)

What a fab white look! I so want that yellow jacket. If you are looking for white jeans, the Kut skinnies in Angie's finds are wonderful. You might like the slouchy Catherine's better. I've not tried them

Bring on the spring! This is gorgeous. You ladies make me want to dig up a yellow blazer and join the party. Fabulous!

That yellow looks more citron than lemon on my screen, but whatever - so fresh and summery to my eye.  Nice!

Shannon, you look like a wonderful dessert, refreshing and cool. I absolutely love it!

    WOW! You look great!

Shannon in what way are you out of your comfort zone?  I like this a lot.  The column of white is very appealing and fresh.  And the yellow is just wow!  I am a little envious as I cannot wear yellow near my face and come to think of it I shudder at the thought of wearing a column of white but you have nailed it.  The booties are just the right footwear.  This look to me is trendy and fashion forward and worn with elegance.

So fresh and pretty.  Your fitness efforts are really showing because you look long and lean!  Another thing that occurred to me is that these are a slimmer cut than what I usually see on you and it's very flattering.
