WIW: Olive & Black

Late to the Olive and Black party - hope you can stand one more iteration!

Today's outfit started with my trusty olive cargo pants (one of my BEST fast fashion purchases EVER!). I didn't have a black and white striped tee as per Angie's ensemble, but thought my black/white ballerina tee would work to bring in that bit of white. I topped the tee with my black suit blazer to bring in an element of "office wear" and then added my Docs for comfy footwear. Finishing touches to the outfit included my large chrome/white watch, red specs and red lip and my black leather handbag.

I've worn olive and black many, many times since I bought these pants and I never tire of it. Thanks for keeping us inspired Angie :)

Thoughts on this outfit ladies - proportions, combination? As always, all comment/suggestions welcome.

Blazer: Nygard
Tee: Smart Set
Pants: Ricki's
Boots: Doc Martens (eBay)
Watch: thrifted
Handbag: Danier Leather

Looks fab Shannon! Sassy, edgy and modern. I agree with Ceit, love the touch of white too.

Your tee makes for the pop of white needed in Spring and the doc's make for the edgy, rebellious Shannon, isn't it! Love this!

I always love that ballerina tee - every outfit with it looks good and this is no exception.  The suit jacket and cargos are a fun and different combination.

I love that shade of darker olive - really suits you - and makes more of a statement than some of the wishy-washier  versions out there.  And Miss Ballerina!  Love her:)

A fantastic edgy version! Great job!

I'm realizing Angie is quite right (as usual!) in that white is magical in an outfit. And what am I going to do when Miss Ballerina needs to retire? I had no idea how versatile and how much I was going to love this tee. She's starting to show her age, poor thing - need to find a replacement.

You definitely need to replace Miss B - she is an essential!

This is one cool outfit with an edgy vibe. I was almost wore a similar outfit today but decided against it.  You look fab.

I can see why those cargo pants are a favorite! I love the injection of white, and those boots make the outfit look ultra cool.

I want to steal that ballerina tee every time you wear it. Lots of love for the whole outfit. I have a black Nygard tuxedo jacket that doesn't get enough wear. Hmmmm.

    Cheeky and super cute.

You can also roll your pants a little to showcase the lacing detail of the boots.
