It's superb! Everything about your outfit is fab. That color is gorgeous!

Cobalt is SO lovely on you. The jacket looks fab on a hanger (as I saw when I met it in a local store) but it looks SO much more fab on you!

great color on you and I love that your husband couldn't wait to give it to you....

Waving to my Sara twin!
What can I say....once again you are schooling all of us in how to coordinate accessories. That bag and those shoes....are you TRYING to enable me to become a bag lady. :)
Cobalt is a gorgeous color on you, and makes your hair look ridiculously shiny.

What a fantastic jacket and even more fantastic hubby! I think this outfit is perfect.

Yes! Love it! I especially love its perfect length on you: short and perky. Perfect proportion with the top underneath popping through on the bottom.
Now I am going to say something which is my honest opinion but you might not like. I think there is too much colour blocking repeated in the items in this particular outfit. I would choose between the shoes or the bag with a different bottom, or leave the shoes and bag altogether and keep the pants. My personal opinion.
Blocking is a style that suits you well, however, and I would definitively continue to do it, as you usually do. That blue is stunning on you.

Wow, Shannon. It's ingenious how you've styled this outfit. So mod. So crisp and uncluttered. I love the soft greys, creams and blacks as a foil for the cobalt punch of this excellent jacket.

My favourite Shannon outfit ever!
I love the luxe sportswear vibe and the find the boxy jacket and slouchy trousers very flattering to.

That shade of blue is great!

I love how the stripe in the trousers mimics the stripe in the jacket. And the jacket! Gorgeous color and fantastic style. Way to go Mr. Shannon!

Thank you Rae, Suz, Tracey, Sveta, Mochi, Asingh and Shevia!
Atlantia - yes, I'm shamelessly working on turning you into a bad lady - lol!
Krishnidoux - it is a bit of a colour blocking party, isn't it? I actually didn't even notice that until reading your comments and then looking at the pictures. I did think my python booties would work as well but love combining the Doc Sara's and this handbag. It's like they're sisters separated at birth or something - lol!
Julie - my goodnes, thank you :)

The jacket is superb, and your combo with the dressy, tweedy slacks looks fantastic on you. Not too much color-blocking for me. And as usual, your cheery smile, twinkly eyes and adorable haircut combine to add up to FAB.
However, and this may sound very picky, but my honest feeling is the sleeves are still a smidge too long. Maybe 1/2 inch or an inch. Of course I am not wearing the jacket, but to my eyes it still looks a bit largish on you due to the length of the sleeves. I know you have just had it altered, so maybe there is nothing to do about it - and I feel bad because maybe I should not make a critique when there is nothing constructive to be done, but I know you (and everyone here) are also interested in having all sides brought out. Thanks...

So cool! You are Queen Colorblock in this outfit!

cjh - I do hear you on the sleeve length issue. It sounds strange, but when the jacket is zipped up, the shoulders fit more properly and therefore the sleeves are then the correct length. It's only when the jacket is undone and moves about in the width of the opening causing the shoulders to also pull down at times, that then the sleeves look longer. Also I prefer my sleeves on the longer side because it drives me nuts when I'm typing at my desk at work and my sleeves pull up too short. What can I say - I'm quirky! But I do very much appreciate your observation :)
Thanks Angie and Rae!

OOOH! I love the cobalt on you. I've been buying this color like crazy this fall, and how nice that DH is on team wear!
I think the jacket has an Chanel meet Duran Duran (but in a good way) vibe. Classic and retro-modern all at once.

I love the jacket! It looks great on you and I like how you've styled it with the tweed type trousers.

I really love how this outfit has three items with just a hint of colorblocking: the fab new jacket, the shoes and the purse. It pulls it all together visually in a subtle but atypical way. Brilliant.
