WIW: Maggy London

I haven't worn my black and white graphic faux wrap Maggy London dress in quite a while - it had gotten uncomfortably tight. But I'm fitting back into it quite nicely and thought it would be the perfect thing to wear for day 2 of the interviews at work.

There's nothing "fancy" about today's outfit - I popped on a dress, a pair of black sandals (probably going to be the last warm day of the season according to the weather forecast), grabbed my cobalt and cream quilted handbag and a vintage black and gold bracelet, a swipe of red lipstick and away we go. Simple. Comfortable. Un-fussy.

What do you think? Is simple good? or is simple boring? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Dress: Maggy London
Sandals: Clarks
Handbag: Danier Leather
Bracelet: vintage

Perfectly lovely, Shannon! I love how a dress can be a FFBO, and I need to look into this further.

Nothing is boring about seeing you look fab in that dress.

I love BW dresses.  The graphic nature of the print is anything but boring.  I also like the addition of the blue element.

Very nice and congrats on the weight management.

Inspiring!  I love it - especially with the bag!

You look great!  I'm always worried that I've taken simple too far and have entered boring territory too.  The pattern and fit of the dress keep it interesting.  Glad to hear that it's no longer too tight!

    Killer

I like to see an old favourite get new love. You wear that frock to perfection, Shannon.

You must be joking to doubt this ensemble. You are looking perfect. When you have a dress like that, the only easy thing about it, is putting it on. What a terrific dress and you look so good in it.
As for the bag... to die for (exaggerated of course haha).

Nothing like a ladylike frock to make dressing well look simple!  Love this dress, and you look amazing in it.  I can't bring myself to wear sandals any more, even though it's 85 today!  Of course, I'll be in boots soon enough.

The black sandals are terrific with the dress, and the pop in the bag is terrific.

    Thanks ladies :)

Dresses that just pull on really are my favorite FFBO - no tucking to keep fixing, no buttons that gape, no pulling or tugging or straightening...well, you get the idea. I even unpacked three large boxes of medical supplies and was perfectly comfortable with no adjusting required.

Simple & chic. YLF & I love the cut of that dress on you :)

I would not call this too simple or boring at all.  Look at all the patterns and textures you've got going, and that doesn't include all the curves you put the patterns and textures on, and the cute haircut as a topper.
The pretty smile with a swipe of red lipstick adds to the whole picture.

Wait, it's the first day of October & you're wearing sandals? Not fair!
It does look really good on you.

Love the simple yet bold look here. The blue with the B&W is lovely and the drape of the dress played against the perfect structure in the bag.... lovely!
