  Hah, Deborah inspires me, too!
  This looks so understated and comfortable. The citron provides a real pop.
  I wonder if what makes Deborah such a natural for this is that her blonde hair acts as a bright accessory? Framing her face?
  To that end, I might add something very wow up by the face or portrait area.
  Is this a repeater outfit for you?

  It is so good to have you back posting outfits!  I think I have that same dress in midnight blue and now can't wait to try it with a black vest.  You do accessorizing so well.  The nude peep-toes, cuff and bright bag look just right.  I saw a citron bag at Wilson Leather yesterday and may need to go back for it after seeing your outfit, although I like the size of yours much more.

  Great outfit!  Black can be so hard to photograph.  I really like the light shoes with the black outfit.  It's slightly unexpected.

  Thank you ladies - this is the type of outfit you're going to see alot of over the summer months: simple, comfortable, hopefully chic/elegant and a fair bit of black.

  So humbled to have inspired you Shannon. I opened your pics in a new tab and was able to enlarge and see the layers a little more clearly. I really like this outfit:). I think the proportions work. I also really like the simplicity. And the colour of the bag:). Do you wear earrings? Since having my hair short, earrings have become my key accessory. I'm thinking a lovely small silver dropped earring could be a lovely addition, but it's. not needed. The lovely silver flecks in your hair work so well with the all black :)

  Deborah - I haven't worn earrings in a couple years now and my pierced holes have actually grown in. Maybe need to rethink that though...
