WIW: Ink & White

After seeing Angie's fabulous blog post about a business casual capsule in ink and white and then seeing Sveta's lovely outfit based on that capsule (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-and-white) I knew I had to wear it too!

So today's outfit started with my white jeans to which I added my ink blue hi-lo hem pullover with little lurex "sparkle" threads. This is a very light weight knit so perfect for spring. I decided not to semi tuck the pullover for a change because I wanted the outfit to be very crisp and simple without even a belt showing. I added my python booties for footwear (just like Sveta)  and my large cream handbag. And then to top it off, my ink/indigo leather jacket. Unfortunately I will probably have to put my navy trench on over this when I head out the door since it's not quite warm enough for the leather jacket on its own.

So what do you think? I must say, I feel quite "snappy" in this ensemble and can't believe I have never paired ink and white together before. Thank you Angie and Sveta :)  As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

The only part I don't like is that you still need a trench over that great jacket. I need to try to copy this!

Between you and Sveta (and Angie) I am pretty sure I will be pulling out the white jeans today ... gorgeous, Shannon!

    Jacket twin!
I also can't believe you have not paired navy with white before.  Shocked actually!  This is such a wonderful crisp Shannon-like outfit, very "snappy" :).

I hope we see more of the pairing in the future!

Such a lovely jacket, Shannon, and the whole outfit is extremely fresh and flattering!

Nice!! Perfect outfit and I love how the boots add some pattern interest to the outfit :) .. And I think it looks fan without a belt because of the curved hem.

Great outfit! I love navy blue, and all the various shades of dark blue, with white. So crisp and stylish! And those booties - once again you prove how versatile they are.

Shevia - you'll be happy to know that I decided against the trench and went out with just the leather jacket. It's actually a gorgeous day here so felt like risking it!

Janne - I can't believe I ever doubted that I would wear these booties! They have been total wardrobe workhorses for me.

    Thanks all :)

Well, I do hope you'll be sporting this colour combo more often from now on, Shannon, because it looks exquisite on you. Stunning outfit from head to toe.

Lovely! And the credit totally goes to our fearless leader Angie! :-)
I am also amazed that you have not paired navy and white before, Shanon. It may give some nautical vibe but I like it very much. I also covet your dark blue moto and now will copy you with my Gap moto as well (I hope you don't mind :-)

I love that ink sparkly top - especially with the white jeans. You look as fresh as a Spring tulip. xo

You look spring-fresh and fab – those white jeans fit you perfectly and the booties are the perfect complement. I does look very snappy and pulled together.
