WIW: Grey, white & wedge sneakers

Statutory holiday today so no work - but I'm heading out to the mall to make a couple of returns for DS and DH (they're busy spreading grass seed in the rain so I volunteered to make their returns for them - they are also getting pickier with their clothes which is making their wardrobes more useful - YAY for YLF "rub-off"!).

Today's outfit is easy and very casual - my grey sized up JS skinnies paired with a Gap slouchy dolman short-sleeved grey & white tee. Don't you just love the feel of soft 100% cotton against the skin? I've semi-tucked the tee and added my wide white leather belt, both for fashion reasons and to keep my pants up!

I'm wearing my Sakura wedge sneakers, which I've worn several times on the weekends. They are ridiculously comfortable and I love them. Definitely one of my favourite thrift purchases. Added my white watch and away I go.

What do you think? Too sloppy or just right? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Tee: Gap
Jeans: Jessica Simpson
Belt, shoes & watch: thrifted

You look awesome! I really like this. I want that tee, is it current for Gap?

Love the simplicity of the color palette with the tonal print and details in the show.  Perfect for a day off.

Lovely casual outfit, Shannon. I really like the light grey with the dark grey and the way the top part of the sneakers brings a bit of extra "pattern" to the outfit. And wow, your hair is growing fast!

Ceit - this tee would work great with your fab collection of skinnies and your grey palette.

Raisin - this tee is current. I just got it at Gap about 3 weeks ago.

Suz - it's funny you mention "svelte" 'cause I felt anything but in this outfit.

Inge - my stylist always comments how quickly my hair grows. We figure two more trims and shaping and will be where we want it to be.

Thanks for your sweet comments ladies :)

Well, it's sold out on line now Shannon.  Too bad for me!  I will check back later.

Oh poop Rae! Do you want me to check my local store and see if they have?
  • replied 10 years ago

Was just coming here to post the same thing! I wish we had an actual Gap store!

Ceit - I can have a look for you too if you'd like?
  • replied 10 years ago

    Sure, if you don't mind! I'd be a M.

Will do - there's a Gap only about 15 minutes from my house. I can check tomorrow evening for you. I'll report back then.

Such a cool 'day off work' outfit.  Love the grey on you Shannon.  How fab are those sneakers.  I just bought a pair myself with the hidden high wedge heel and I am in love with them.  I am not a sneaker girl primarily because flat heels are not for me, I need the hight and I feel somehow more grown up or sophisticated (I really don't know what it is) with some height... so it is really cool to be creating some more casual but cool looking outfits with sneakers and not feel like a squat little girl.  They have in a way revolutionised my weekend wardrobe... do you feel they have added to your wardrobe in a particular way.  I am sorry but I cannot remember if you have regular flat sneakers.
