WIW: Grey, white & a pop of citron

I love seeing the WIW posts with the pops of white lately so today I wanted to copy that idea. I started my outfit with my slouchy black and tweed trousers. I added my white leather belt for my first bit of white. Then I added my grey mesh sleeve sweater with a semi tuck to show the belt. For footwear, I'm wearing my python booties which have bits of white in them. I then added my white watch for another bit of white. And finally, my purse today consists of a pretty little citron leather clutch from Gap. Such a cheery colour to add!

What do you think? Does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Gap
Trousers: Sears (Jessica)
Belt: Danier Leather
Booties: Sam Edelman
Clutch: Gap

Fantastic! I LOVE this outfit and silhouette on you. The citron accent makes it look so modern and fresh. The pettys and the optic white are brilliant!

I love the white belt and boots together.  Perfect!

Wow. I would have thought that the belt would break up the outfit too much, but instead it makes it so fresh, especially with the watch, shoes, and clutch. I have so much to learn!!!!!!!!! (but such good teachers)

Simple and terrific! I really, really like this.
I rushed in and out of a GAP store yesterday and it completely slipped my mind to look at the new YLF "it" sweater.

    Thank you all :)

Shout out to Anna, who suggested I buy a white belt the last time I wore these trousers. Thanks Anna!

Oh no Angie...you ok? Where was your citron crash helmut?
  • Debora replied 11 years ago

As fabulous as ever! I love the idea of inserting pops of white.

Shannon, you have a real knack for knowing what fits you and what works for your body type and you style. You are a fabulous package deal, the clothes, the hair and best of all the effervescent (I'll have you know I actually spelled that without auto correct) personality!
Can you tell I love your outfit?:-)

  • Sheila replied 11 years ago

Love the clutch and SEs (pattern and color)... NICE. This is a great color palette and mix of textures. You make me want to play around with this in my closet and see what I come up with. Thanks for the inspiration!

Day Vies - go play away in your closet. Let me know what you come up with!

Una - I thought at first this little bag was tooo little - but it held my car keys, office keys, small wallet, cell phone and lipstick. Perfect. They're on sale by the way...

    Thanks all!

Shannon, I think this is one of your best lately - which says a lot! I love how the white pops brightens up and contrasts with the rest of the color scheme. Citron, grey and white is a wonderful combination, and the silhouette is SO modern. Bravo!
