WIW: Grey Mesh & Bootcuts

Yay for Friday :)

Today I'm wearing my grey Gap mesh sleeve sweater, which strangely enough, feels different than the white one - the fabric is significantly softer and thinner. It will be interesting to see if it bags out the same way the white one did.

Anyway, I'm wearing it untucked, more like a traditional sweatshirt today and have paired it with my dark wash bootcut jeans. I've added a pop of color with my red SE boots and have added my white handbag. I just can't seem to get enough of this handbag - love it. For jewelry, I've popped on my chrome & white bracelet watch.

This outfit is simple, comfortable and I think still put together looking for a casual Friday. What do you think? and should I have gone with a semi-tuck? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Gap
Jeans: Suko
Boots: Sam Edelman
Handbag: Danier Leather
Watch: thrifted

I like it as is - the bag is fab.

You know, Shannon, when I look at these pictures, I don't seem to be able to look beyond the white bag. It is that gorgeous. I love how you let it play the leading role here, with the booties and red lipstick as supporting roles. I think the mesh sweater is just fine untucked, too, and it is a nice change. We all seem to do the semi-tuck these days, so a little variety is only a good thing in my book. You look adorable and pulled together, as usual :)

Looks GREAT!  Very eleganty casual, if that's a word :)  I like the sweater like this, but a semi-tuck would definitely work as well.  Esp if it starts to bag a bit.

Wows, again! Simple but polished enough  for a casual Friday at work!
LOVE all your items here, and jeans are a fab fit!

The grey is a great color on you and the jeans look terrific. No need at all for a semi-tuck but as said above you can try that too another day. I can see why you keep wearing the white bag - I love it!

I like this look a lot. I am wearing my Gap sweater today too!

I like how you brought in the red with your booties and the lipstick.

Simple, casual elegance, I love this a lot, Shannon. This sweater style (and the colour) is beautiful on you, and your red boots and gorgeous white bag add just the right finishing touches. A semi-tuck would also work, but I love the way you are wearing the sweater here also.

And - just saying - that fab blue leather jacket would look amazing with this outfit too (perhaps with a different colour shoe)...

It looks comfy but the little polished details in the shoes watch bag and mesh make it just so simple chic and fab. Happy casual Friday!

Shannon, I love the way your collar bones look in this sweater and I hope it works out! I have yet to show my versions to the forum but I am debating about whether or not to keep.

LOVE your white bag. Must go buy one immediately.

Shannon, another winning outfit! I really like the look of the sweater and the tailored jeans complement it perfectly. The white bag is such a lovely piece as well. It makes the outfit sing. :)

Very nice Shannon. If I had seen a bag like that yesterday I would have grabbed it.

Great comfy casual, but the gorgeous white bag and red boots dress it up just enough to keep it from being too casual.
    You look great!

Seeing this sweater on you makes me think I SHOULD have gotten the petite. Maybe it was the length coupled with the fullness that made me feel less than fab by the end of the day. Now I curious to see how my white one works!

I like it worn untucked. And I love how you added a bit of red. That bag is so gorgeous; I love everything about it.

    Yay for casual Friday!

I'm totally copying this if the grey fits when it arrives!

I like the sweater untucked & those boot cut jeans are the perfect fit. Looking good!

So it's just after 3:00 p.m. here and the grey sweater has not bagged out AT ALL! So what was with the white one? Anyway...have had three people compliment me on my casual outfit today so feeling kinda good.

    Thanks all!

You should feel good --- you look easy, but put together.  Perfect for a Friday during The Spring that Should Be But is Not.

That bag! ....is so fab and so are you. Yes, I've bought duplicates and then found the fiber content was different for the different colors or washes. Hmmm. Strange but true.

I love you in bright colors, Shannon but you also shine in neutrals! Simple and stunning outfit. Period.
Glad to hear the grey sweater did not bag out. I am debating now if I should keep mine based on the bagging feedback...

I am very taken with this colourway on you. It looks serene.

I *likes* very much. No wonder you got complimented. Great colors, great fit.

Gorgeous casual look.  I have those boots - Lisles in British burgundy?  Those jeans fit perfectly  glad you can keep wearing them in the spring.  And the sweater is cool - you look good in grey!

Good grief, you wear dove grey well. It picks up the hues of your hair just perfectly! I love this simple and casual look, Shannon. It might be boring to some, but to my eye it's an extremeley fabulous look. Killer in fact! And very much a way to shine.

It takes great skill to make a simple outfit look appealing and stylish, as opposed to boring and uninteresting. You have that skill :)
